One of only eight games behind the plate for Gibbons that year. It kind of even looks for all the world like Carter, but Gibby it is.


I imagine there would be a half dozen things in that play — by both the offense and defense — that would now be interpreted as illegal, but that's just good, fair baseball from where I sit.
