Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2025 Posted July 21, 2025 On November 15, Citi Field is hosting an “all star” exhibition of Dominican vs Puerto Rican players. Seems like a fun idea. But then I keep reading:“Rosters for the teams will be announced in the coming months, but former All-Star Robinson Cano is scheduled to play his last professional game on American soil. To honor Cano, every player on the Dominican team will wear his iconic No. 24 jersey.”http://www.mlb.com/mers/tickets/specials/dr-pr
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2025 Posted July 21, 2025 Oh, I thought there was something going on between R&D and the PR department in the front office.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Well, they did it last year with a Dominican Winter League matchup.
