RD vs PR Showdown at Citi Field

On November 15, Citi Field is hosting an “all star” exhibition of Dominican vs Puerto Rican players. Seems like a fun idea.

But then I keep reading:

“Rosters for the teams will be announced in the coming months, but former All-Star Robinson Cano is scheduled to play his last professional game on American soil. To honor Cano, every player on the Dominican team will wear his iconic No. 24 jersey.”

There's gotta be a decent amount of money for the players/orgs involved here cuz how else do you convince a bunch of guys from the DR & PR to play in NYC in mid-November.
