Adopted Trey Mcloughlin

Trey is a right handed pitcher who is now in the Arizona Fall League after spliting the year between Brooklyn and Binghamton.

Why am I adopting him?

Because my daughter works with Trey's mom, that's why!

And I wouldn't want to incur the wrath of my daughter if she ever found out I didn't adopt him.

My kid blew the save last night but picked up his first win.

His ERA now stands at 1.42.

I hope he gets a Syracuse call-up this year.

Trey was not added to the 40 man major league roster and can be drafted by any other major league team in the rule V draft.

Two items of good news about Trey:

1) He has been signed by Syracuse and will continue to be in the Mets organization.

2) Trey got married, to a girl he met in college. I saw the wedding pictures (his mom is my daughter's friend) and she will be a welcome addition to the Mets wives club when he gets to the majors.

The Mets just announced their AAA Syracuse roster.

Despite pitching better than some of the veterans this spring, Trey did not make it. So it looks like he's going back to Binghamton.

The 26-year-old went 2-0 with a 3.91 ERA in 19 games (1 start) between St. Lucie and Binghamton in 2025.
