MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 I've adopted second baseman Luis Santana. He was rated #12 in various rankings, but that was before Kelenic and Dunn were traded for Robinson Cano. The 19 year old second baseman had a successful first year playing in the US:https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=santan002luiI hope he continues his development and becomes Cano's replacement when Robinson is ready to move to another position. Welcome, Luis. Mi casa es su casa.LAter

smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Sorry. His tenure as your prospect was unfairly short. He had a really good performance in the more advanced rookie league. I always like guys who walk more than they strike out. It's way too early to tell how he'll turn out, but I wouldn't have parted with him for what we got.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 All these years later, he's still going. Eight seasons into his pro career and he hasn't even reached Triple-A. But—he's also still just 24!
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 This could be the end for Luis Santana. After hitting .195 in the Tigers chain in 2024, he didn't play in 2025.
Elian Pena St. Lucie Mets - A SS In St. Lucie's Wednesday doubleheader, the 18-year-old shortstop went 3-for-7 with a walk and his 7th and 8th doubles. He's hitting .346/.460/.481 (.941). Also 8 steals in 9 attempts. Explore Elian Pena News >
