In this adaptation of the Jane Austen novel of the same name, when the composed, circumspect daughter of a jackass of a baronet finds her ridiculous family's fortune in decline, she is thrown back into association with the seafaring man who was the subject of her disappointing young love many years before.

As the action moves from Somerset to Lyme to Bath, hijinks cannot help but ensue!
