I don't think I've ever seen so many singles off the bat handle floated just over the infield as Benge is collecting.

The out-of-retirement Rush has no tour dates until July 11.  Any Geddy Lee sightings behind home plate?

There's a guy back there who looks a like an unkempt version of Lifeson that I've seen the last two nights.

Alvarez has 10 RBIs with his 9 HRs this season..

I'm about not batting him eighth and ninth.  That might help somewhat.

Mets are 7 for their last 65 with RiSP (8 games including tonight so far) for a .108 BA And considering how many 1-run games they've been involved in (last four losses for instance) even managing a lousy BA, like say .208 (13 or 14 hits instead of 7) might have won them two or three games just in this stretch alone.

Sustaining a run like this should be nearly impossible but this team manages to invent as many ways to suppress scoring as FIFA referees do.

So might not having an OPS with runners on that's not 270 points beneath his bases empty mark or a RiSP mark that's not 410 points below.

Or, put another way, 42% of his PAs have been w/runners on but those yielded only 31% of his hits and 28% of his Total Bases

I don't see Geddy but the Blue Jays do pack their ballpark

Getting the very good version of Gausman

If only that was a choice.

The guy definitely has been laying off that slider away with the bases empty since he came back from injury.  But he can't help chasing with guys out there.

And there he goes, chasing the slider away.

Hey this Keys fella went to my high school. Go Tornados!

Yeah, he definitely has that ignorant brute air coming off him.

Amazing how the Mets get the 'very best' of just about every pitcher every night.

If the Mets can sustain this shutout for the next two innings I believe they have an outside chance at winning this game.

Bichette really doing a good job making peace with the Toronto fans he left behind.

In fairness, his glove certainly showed up tonight.

Just once I'd like to hear the HP ump turn around and announce to the stadium: 'the batter/catcher is stupidly challenging the ball/strike call'.
