After that it's crickets except for the occasional out from the bullpen

Wow. Vientos takes a 3-2 fastball (92 mph) right down the middle, then starts walking toward the dug out. That ending pretty much sums this team up of late.



A virtually total lack of starting pitching, an over worked bullpen, and an offense that seems to be feely the pressure. Not a recipe for winning.

He is sporting a 8.49 ERA through 11.2 innings over his 3 starts. He likely was promoted too soon out of desperation and necessity.

Funny thing (ok--not so funny) was I thought when he had men on first and third and two outs, "Cool. He gets this next guy Burger to pop up or strike out, and he's out of the jam," and the floodgates opened. So near and yet so far.
