MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 If you're out of the WPIX viewing area, I just saw that the game will also be aired on the MLB Network.Later
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 I've been meaning to ask for awhile now, why is WPIX now channel 11.1and no longer just channel 11? It's CW11, not CW 11.1...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Between the rapid turnover of personnel that is characteristic of the Marlins, and the scaled-down intra-divisional schedule, I've been thinking during this series that I don't know that I've ever been so unfamiliar with a division opponent. Certainly not this late in the season.

[TH][/TH][TH][FIMG=250]https://cdn.freebiesupply.com/images/large/2x/miami-marlins-logo-transparent.png[/FIMG][/TH][TH][/TH][TH][/TH][TH][FIMG=100]https://www.amny.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Ed-Kranepool-Patch.png?resize=50[/FIMG][FIMG=250]https://cdn.freebiesupply.com/images/large/2x/new-york-mets-logo-transparent.png[/FIMG][/TH][TH][/TH]

[TH]#[/TH][TH]Player [/TH][TH]Pos.[/TH][TH]#[/TH][TH]Player [/TH][TH]Pos.[/TH]

[TH]1[/TH]=#00A3E0]Xavier Edwards =#EF3340] (S)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/2b-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]2b[TH]1[/TH]=#002D72]Francisco Lindor =#FF5910] (S)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/ss-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]ss

[TH]2[/TH]=#00A3E0]Otto Lopez =#EF3340] (R)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/ss-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]ss[TH]2[/TH]=#002D72]Juan Soto =#FF5910] (L)[fimg=13]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/rf-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]rf

[TH]3[/TH]=#00A3E0]Agustín Ramírez =#EF3340] (C)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/c-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]c[TH]3[/TH]=#002D72]Pete Alonso =#FF5910] (R)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/1b-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]1b

[TH]4[/TH]=#00A3E0]Heriberto Hernández =#EF3340] (R)[fimg=20]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/dh-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]dh[TH]4[/TH]=#002D72]Brandon Nimmo =#FF5910] (L)[fimg=18]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/lf-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]lf

[TH]5[/TH]=#00A3E0]Eric Wagaman =#EF3340] (R)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/1b-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]1b[TH]5[/TH]=#002D72]Mark Vientos =#FF5910] (R)[fimg=20]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/dh-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]dh

[TH]6[/TH]=#00A3E0]Connor Norby =#EF3340] (R)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3b-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]3b[TH]6[/TH]=#002D72]Jeff McNeil =#FF5910] (L)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/2b-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]2b

[TH]7[/TH]=#00A3E0]Dane Myers =#EF3340] (R)[fimg=13]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/rf-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]rf[TH]7[/TH]=#002D72]Brett Baty =#FF5910] (L)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3b-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]3b

[TH]8[/TH]=#00A3E0]Joey Wiemer =#EF3340] (R)[fimg=18]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/lf-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]lf[TH]8[/TH]=#002D72]Luis Torrens =#FF5910] (R)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/c-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]c

[TH]9[/TH]=#00A3E0]Derek Hill =#EF3340] (R)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/cf-sil.png[/fimg]=#41748D]cf[TH]9[/TH]=#002D72]Cedric Mullins =#FF5910] (L)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/cf-sil.png[/fimg]=#002D72]cf

[TH][/TH][TH]Pitcher[/TH][TH][/TH][TH][/TH][TH]Pitcher[/TH][TH][/TH]

[TH][/TH]=#00A3E0]Edward Cabrera =#EF3340] (R)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/sp-sil.png[/fimg] =#41748D]sp[TH][/TH]=#002D72]David Peterson =#FF5910] (L)[fimg=25]https://metsrostercentral.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/sp-sil.png[/fimg] =#002D72]sp

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 I hope they didn't shoot their wad last night. Peterson deserves some run support, too.Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 It wasn't from 1st base, but an example there of a runner advancing fewer bases because he tagged up on a ball that wound up Not being caught.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Might as well bring Sproat up, since the youngsters have been outperforming rest of the rotation. McLean and Tong have been more effective (granted in small sample size) and are providing the length that Senga, Holmes, Manaea and Peterson (for the last month) are not providing.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 A 3 run HR by Vientos and suddenly it's a ball game again.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Not only do the Mets have the momentum, but the Marlins have really burned their pen of late, including (especially) yesterday.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Devinski settles things down with six outs (five batters) on 19 pitches. And still six (5-1/2) innings to go.What was that candy bar commercial slogan?: 'Not going anywhere for a while?'
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 They keep scoring in every inning!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Soto with another HR 8-6 Marlins
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Soto KABOOM! Mets trail 8-6 after 4 innings. The Mets really need another clean inning from Devenski.
Bob Alpacadaca Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 What the heck happened to Peterson?
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 He may be hitting a wall. This is by far the most innings he has pitched in one season.Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Devenski finishes on fumes, but finishes well.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 No matter how this game turns out, a great effort by Devenski to stop the bleeding and give the offense a chance to get back into the game. Poor guy will will likely be outrighted to Syracuse for a fresh arm after the game.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 With the Marlins defensive alignment, McNeil could trot to first for a hit with a reasonable bunt down the 3rd base line. Of course he has 2 strikes now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Need Mullins to get on base in front of the big boys.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 This has not been the biggest comeback in team history, and I sure felt like they were never out of it.But it totally feels, at this moment, like the biggest comeback in team history.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 I remember when many of us were debating what was wrong with Soto. No one is asking that anymore.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 I don't think Baty was decoying on that pop. I think he lost the ball.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Well, we probably knew that 8 runs wasn't going to be enough.
