Ready or not we're doing this again tomorrow afternoon. This time it's 4:10 listed as the scheduled face-off time.

Lefty Carlos Rodon, who's been quite good this season [18 starts, 2.95 ERA, 1.00 WHIP] will go for the Yanx

Lefty Frankie Montas, who's been mostly not available and quite not good when he has been vertical [2 starts, 9 innings, 6 runs, 10 hits, 4 walks] gets the nod for the Mets

Not sure who else will play since, if the next 21+ hours go like most of the last few weeks have, each team will make at least four roster moves between now and then.

They may each even sign one of the players that the other team releases between now and sundown so be careful who you call a communist/Trump supporting/P-Diddy

groupie during the heat of the moment because that guy may be on our roster by the time we wake up.

Contrary to what the internets predicted, it looks like Brandon Sproat won't be brought up to pitch on Sunday.

He pitched tonight and did well 5 scoreless 2-hit innings with 1 BB and 8K.

If he keeps that up, we may see him in the bigs after the all star break.

But that's one less roster move for now.

So, iow, those predicting a Brandon Sproat start on Sunday seemed to be totally unaware that he was scheduled to start on Friday therefore leaving ZERO chance he would be called up for a ML start on Sunday even if he pitched well (which he hasn't been doing recently).

I think this is why I pay no attention to what 'the internet' thinks is going to happen.

Nolan McLean struck out 10 the other day so he's out

Let's run Rodon's ass outta here.

OTOH, the Yanx are at least as skittish about their bullpen as the Mets are these days. So in the recent series with Toronto, Will Warren coughed up eight runs in the first and Boone stuck with him for four more innings.

It used to be that, if you hit one off the wall and only got a single out of it, there was a good chance that your last name was Staub.

Now, everybody does it.
