MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 =metirish post_id=136049 time=1693151992 user_id=72]Why a noon start ?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 So I see ... actually I don't see since I don't get Peacock, but I Figuratively see that we retired Ohtani in the 1st (on a line out).I also don't see that we got the leadoff man on (Nimmo BB) and then the 2-3-4 hitters all failed to get a ball out of the infield [PO, Foul PO, K]iow, just because we can't see something doesn't mean we can't know that it's the exact same thing as what we've previously seen over and over again.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Peacock for $19 for the year during a summer sale was great value , especially for the EPL coverage , anyway Zeile and Mark Gubicza doing the game with Brendan Butle PBP
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 We were getting some dumb introductory rate on Peacock as part of our phone package. It's like two dollars a month, but we're letting that sunset next week, because just scrolling through the garbage available through Peacock is gross. But hey, I'm glad to have it this afternoon.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 True ,if the EPL wasn't on it I likely would watch nothing, it's definitely a struggling platform
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 If a player steals a base in the middle of a plate appearance, or he advances on an errant pickoff throw or wild pitch or the like, does that reset the disengagement count back to zero?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Peterson owns Ohtani.Whatever Lindor said to him last start, bottle that.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 I don't know what remains to come in this game, but this has been Peterson's best start of the season.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Tied up, but a good test for Peterson being left in there.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Seven innings. 100+ pitches.How much longer?Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Game tied!Alonso delivering RBI hits instead of entering clout-or-out mode makes for a better Mets team.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Mendick comes up and several pitches into the at-bat, the chyron is still telling me it's Vogelbach.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 That pitch totally scraped a knuckle.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Have to say this is a good booth all things considered, Gubicza does Angel's games and Todd obviously knows the Mets , Burke is good too
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Cool that the guys who were first to greet Ortega were guys who played with him this season in Syracuse. And D.J. Stewart was the one to soak him.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Author Posted August 27, 2023 I'm so happy I could pee!!
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Nice statement game by Peterson.Later
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 I had purchased tickets for a Mets-Braves tilt in April that was rained out. (I bought them in February as part of the SuperBowl 57 promotion). I decided to "cash them in" today before my daughter heads off to grad school. It was a great day-- I really liked the earlier start, and loved the end result.
