ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 We have our heavyweight lineup in. I like itGoldschmidt has been a major disappointment after winning the MVPI saw Senga is recruiting one of the better Japanese pitchers coming to the states next year
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 It looks like the Mets are about 7 1/2 back of Philly Miami Cincy etc Stranger things have happened but admittedly not that much more than this would take
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Prior to the game, the Mets selected LHP Adam Kolarek from Triple-A Syracuse and recalled RHP Vinny Nittoli. To make room, the team optioned LHP Joey Lucchesi back to Syracuse. The Mets also designated RHP Dennis Santana for assignment.I hat these new option rules.Later
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Keith left his WPIX shirt at the hotel
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 I've been in the arch a long time ago. I had trouble looking down and it was very hot. View of the Mississippi is cool.Ashie was born on the banks of the Mississippi in Burlington IAThat would partially explain the brain damage
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Early baserunners for us1-0 on a throwing error

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 The runner should bring back a bottle of Dewars
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Where was this Mets team two months ago?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Many of them at AAA, or with the Dodgers.Others were hurt.Others were here, but not doing well.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 I hope the hospitality runner that got the shirt for Keith was rewardedMore importantly did he bring a bottle of hooch back

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Cardinals going to the pen one batter too late. You're stealing our moves, St. Louis.

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Author Posted August 19, 2023 PeteBOOM, turning into a laugher...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Mendick doesn't seem to have a thirdbaseman's tool set, but he's made some good plays tonight.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 After the last two months or so of hoping that Batientos wouldn't fumble/bobble/kick/trip and/or bounce a throw, seeing Mendick make all the plays without drama is a nice sight.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 (edited) That new StL 1Bman Luken Baker is from Houston rather than Luchenbach, Texas is a crying shame. And it's a double crying shame if he's not using the Waylon Jennings song as his walk-up music in any case. Leaving a reliever in to make 50+ pitches after 24 last night is cruel.Later
