Hey, Adam Kolarek. He was a Mets prospect once, then they released him in 2015 and someone else scooped him up. Cool to have him back. Not hopeful about Bickford, though.

After the multitude of moves New York made at the MLB trade deadline, some more new faces have arrived and are with the team in Kansas City.

RHP Phil Bickford, who was traded from the Los Angeles Dodgers, was activated and INF Jonathan Arauz was recalled from Triple-A. To make room on the roster, the Mets have optioned RHP Vinny Nitoli and C Michael Perez.

In 36 games this season, Bickford has pitched to a 5.14 ERA over 42 innings and has struck out 48 batters but has walked 26. The 28-year-old has been in the majors since 2020.

Arauz has played in 68 games across three seasons at the major league level with the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles, but it's the first time the Mets have called him up. The switch-hitter has five home runs in 175 at-bats in his career.
