That's a tough pill. Didn't get a lot of opportunity to find whatever stroke he might have since coming off the injured list.



Loved how he ran the bases.

Yet another Seawolf Met, so I was quite pleased, even if the dream didn't quite get completely fulfilled.

Of the dozen times Jankowski pinch-ran, he brought home a run five of them.

I don't think he'll ever amount to a good enough hitter to hold down a starting position on any team much less a good one, but its a shame that he's always seemed to get just enough injuries to virtually guarantee that.

The injuries have been such a problem for him. He's never been able to get consistent ABs, anywhere he's played the last few years. Part of me wishes the Padres had given him more of a shot, but at the same time, he kept getting hurt.



Also, as to specific memories here, the whole "nobody's buying my jersey" thing, which felt like it caused a ton of his fellow Seawolves to do exactly that.

The Mariners, of course, also have honorary Met Luis Castillo. Plus Tommy Milone is on the injured list. I move that we just rename them The West Coast Mets (even if we mean the coast of the Puget Sound).



They also have Manny Acta in the coaching box at third and Lenny Randle forever blowing the ball foul.

Travis, who returned to the organization only to stall at Syracuse, will join Jacob deGrom in immersing himself in the Texas Rangers' winning culture (Spring Training invite).
