Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 58 1/3 with one scheduled start to go.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2022 Author Posted September 26, 2022 His last three starts: 11 earned runs in 15 innings. One more regular season start, probably against the Braves. If that goes poorly, I wonder how that might impact the postseason plans for him? Does Bassitt move ahead of him in the rotation?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 It looks like we're at 64 1/3 and done. And even if he does appear in the Washington series, he's certainly not getting to no 90 innings.Although, maybe the poll creator meant to include post-season innings.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 my 90+ vote counted postseason innings.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Five starts averaging six innings or six starts averaging five innings will get you there. They'd almost certainly have to reach the NLCS to get there, so I'm sure rooting for you. I suppose four starts averaging seven innings would work too. That may or may not mean great news for the Mets, but it would sure reflect well on deGrom.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 For deGrom to get 5 more starts, the Mets will need to reach the WS, and probably have played a 6 or 7 game NLCS.
