The Mets have claimed lefty reliever Sam Clay off waivers from the Phillies, DFA'ing Jake Reed in the process.

Clay never got to be in the play for the Philliies, having only been claimed five days ago off waivers from the Nationals.



He's like a National League East hot potato.
