bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 And that was in PHI with BAL sitting their best player, Cedric Mullins.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Yanx up by a skinny run vs TEX heading into the 9thChapman coming in to protect the lead but he hasn't been real good at that lately.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 It's early yet, but the Phils still haven't scored against the O's this week.Shut out 2-0 last night, down 1-0 thru 4 tonight.and Gary is reading my stuff again
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 21, 2021 Author Posted September 21, 2021 Mentioned earlier in the booth. Kevin Kiermeier is thrown out, despite a lousy tag, and makes off with the catcher's scouting cheat sheet.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 What if one or more of his testicles fell out?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Man, the Cardinals are up 6-Zip on the Brewers while trying for their 11th straight win and 3rd straight over Milwaukee (they play again Thursday afternoon). It's going to be TLTL to make a difference in the NLC race (Brews +9.-1/2) but the Redbirds are locking up the 2nd WC with this run and looking more like a formidable opponent vs the eventual runner-up among SFG/LAD
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 23, 2021 Author Posted September 23, 2021 I hear you, Rays announcers. I had this thing back in my playing days — if a batter hit a pitch, dropped his bat, and broke for first, I'd grab that bat and hustle it back into my dugout. When a catcher pursued a pop and tossed aside his mask, that became my mask. If you want it, don't drop it.Meanwhile in Wrigley, Conor McGregor is moving in on 50 Cent's act. Lefties and control, man.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 I was in Las Vegas at a conference this week. Had dinner at a casino bar with another solo traveler in town for another convention-- the Toyota dealers convention -- and we watched the magical Giants come back then hold off San Diego on late runs and fantastic late inning defense. The Toyota Guys name was Eduardo and he was the top importer and dealer in the Dominican Republic and looking to expand his empire to Miami. He's buddies with Starling Marte and shared his text-message thread where he showed off his wheels. That is all.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 23, 2021 Author Posted September 23, 2021 That's impressive.I wouldn't advise anybody to go into any kind of business in Miami, but I guess that's why I'm not Eduardo.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Toyota has top market share in the Dominican among all car brands. Eduardo is a fan of Aguilas Cibeanas in the Winter League which he described as kind of Met-like--often overshadowed by Licey and Leones --in part because the owner reliably cheaps out in time of need. Jonathan Villar is a regular for them.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Yanx jumped all over (ex-Yank) Nathan Eovaldi for 7 in the first three innings and lead 7-0Jays are losing
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 “Holy crap,” I think it's fair to say re STL.https://twitter.com/ballysportsmw/status/1441873998686556167
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 And, without surprise, the Cardinals win their 15th in a row. Unless they're peaking too soon, they are making the Wild Card Game something more than a formality for the Dodgers or Giants.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 That's the way it's done, St. Louis.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Consider that this 15-game streak came after five months of playing .500 ball.Today's win puts them 17 games over .500 for the season.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 That's all we had to do.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Any any point in the year

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 And, btw, fuck the BoSoxWith a 2-1 lead/2 outs in the 8th, Cora decides he needs a lefty to face Rizzo (who hits LHPs). LHP hits Rizzo on the knee to load the bases and of course has to stay in via the three batter rule and face Stanton. One pitch to Stanton and it's 5-2 YanxGame ends 5-3. The two are now tied in the standings.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Back to the Cards, Gary just mentioned StL getting pitcher Dakota Hudson back from TJ surgery. He last pitched in MLB one year and one week ago.I wonder what color the sky is on the planet where pitchers don't require two (or two-plus) years to recover from TJS? Apparently, it's red.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
