Hef Love

Diaz couldn't hit the side of a barn last night and got into ninth inning trouble. After a visit from Jeremy Hefner, Diaz shut it down and got the save.



Jake is a monster unto himself, but I have to think Hef is playing a substantial role in the success up and down the roster on the pitching side.



IIRC, Hef was part of the coaching staff Beltran was putting together and stayed on when Rojas assumed the job. I know he has a lot of talent taking the mound, but he is also getting prime results from most who toe the rubber this season.
