G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Brewers claim the guy who needed 10 years to reach the majors and about a week to be DFA'd.Heartwarming story for a minute.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 That was the least surprising news possible sadly. The team is not only losing guys hand over first to the IL, but hemorrhaging roster occupants every time they have to add a replacement.Played three games, and according to IMDB, three different positions. Apparently, being sent in to pinch run for Nido in his last game (the 12-inning win over Miami) qualified as an appearance at catcher, according to the DB.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 I'm mildly annoyed that they choose Tovar over Hager. Hager has the better bat and can play more positions. No one would have claimed Tovar.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Tovie has MLB experience. He's a known quantity. That means something to somebody. I mean, Hager had never even been on a 40-man before.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 "Tovie"? He's on a cute name basis with you (I'm just wondering)? And he stinks, even on this team as presently constituted. Not even a team in the Korean League would want him. At least Hager isn't horrible at hitting.
