Handsome outfielder claimed today off waivers from Pittsburgh. I guess it really sounds the bell for Billy Hamilton, though he's not yet activated.



Has the Cleon Jones handicap of being the rare batter who throws lefty but bats righty.



Good outfielder. Actually considered excellent when he was first signed, both as a ballhawk and a thrower. Light-hitter but with more power than Hamilton (which isn't saying much, I know). Could fill the Mets Cuban chair, recently abandoned by Yoenis Céspedes.
