Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 MAY 19, 2013The Mets take a weekend series at Wrigley as that nutty Terry Collins goes with a Funky Sunday defensive alignment of Justin Turner at first and Daniel Murphy at second. Down 3-1 in the seventh, Juan Lagares yanks one out to left field off of Travis Wood with one on, to tie the game. Lagares had doubled earlier in the game and appears to have had Woody's number.Wood had homered earlier in the afternoon himself off of Dillon Gee.The Cubs stick with the the Tin Woodsman for one more batter but Murphy greets Kyuji Fujikawa with a homer of his own to lead off the eighth. Bobby P. comes on for Scott Rice to lock it down. The Mets enjoy a perfect inning from Greg Burke, who I have no memories of, unless you count knowing he's not Tim Burke as a memory.https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2020/05/kaboom.jpg>http://leaptoad.com/mets/scorecard_graph.php?game=8245&font=1>
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 I can't remember the last time I thought of Dillon Gee.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 19, 2020 Author Posted May 19, 2020 I think about his baby faced wife Kari Ann all the time, though.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2020 Author Posted May 28, 2020 You Gotta Give Us a Shot!, a major motion picture starring Noah Syndergaard, Tom Hallion, and Terry Collins, released four years ago today. Featuring Neil Walker. With René Rivera, Eric Campell, Neil Walker, and Ty Kelly.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 Wow, my memory isn't what it used to be. I only remember one of the two Neil Walkers. That close talking between Terry and the umpire... I could almost see the virus particles going back and forth between them.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2020 Author Posted May 28, 2020 Neil Walker was also in there somewhere.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 Neil was right, and Tom Hallion knows it.
