The new Cyclones' manager is Ed Blankmeyer, longtime head baseball coach at St. John's and an assistant coach at Seton Hall before that. There was an opening in (on?) Coney Island once the champion manager of the NY-Penn League, Edgardo Alfonzo, was let go for reasons never made explicit.
