So I've officially changed my mind about Diaz being healthy. Something seriously ain't right with him, and it needs to be addressed before it affects next year too.

Tipping. As in "pitch tipping" or "he's tipping his pitches ".

So even with the pen much better since the ASB, there's still this from the pair who were tabbed prior to the season to be the main two guys:

Diaz + Familia 2018: 145-1/3 IP -- 8 combined HRs allowed

Diaz & Familia 2019*: 78-2/3 IP -- 16 combined HRs allowed



So that's exactly double the number of HRs as compared to last season despite totaling just a shade more than half the innings pitched. aka: the (not so) dynamic duo are serving up

taters at a rate nearly 4x their previous norm. That would be great if you're running a McDonalds franchise but not so much if you're a pitcher. Even in the midst of the 'Year of the

HR' that's a stunning total. The only saving grace is that, lately anyway, they've been given big enough leads to where the long balls they have allowed haven't meant a flip of the game.

But we can't count on that to continue.
