Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 It never occurred to me that people would park their cars at the Polo Grounds to go to a game at Yankee Stadium.I know it's totally impractical, but they should rebuild the Polo Grounds exactly as it was and exactly where it was.If I was a multi-billionaire I would do just that.

Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 It's weird to see Shea looking so old-timey. It's always felt so modern even though it's 10 (!) years gone.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 ^That's the one with Chico. I love it.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I didn't watch the whole thing, so I missed Chico. Some highlights of what I did watch was Leo Durocher getting thrown out of the game and Willie Mays & Hank Aaron getting some hard knocks, albeit flyouts. I felt bad for the 1969 Mets pitchers who were struggling to get the ball over the plate, yet there were no walks in the game. Bob Murphy was great. I miss him.
