Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Rosario looks like he's never even witnessed a bunt before much less performed one.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 7, 2018 Author Posted August 7, 2018 Making tonight more pleasing.Rosario La Futura is bailing out on pitches over the middle of the plate and the outer half.He needs a demotion.

But he's only 31. Might not be a bad piece to have next year.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 We're stuck with him next year, we'll see if that's good or bad.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 7, 2018 Author Posted August 7, 2018 Joey Votto gives up running when he grounds out to first, not wanting race Flores to the bag.I don't want him anymore.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Books.Willie McCovey won the NL Rookie of the Year award by hitting .354 in only 52 games. (1959)There's still enough time for McNeil to win it this year.Later
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Is Jackson under our control for next year? The Giants signed him for two years, but then traded him to the Rangers who released him. We picked him up for the minimum, but doesn't that only apply for the rest of the season?OK, so if Blevins was available to pitch the ninth, why didn't he face Votto and Gennett with the bases loaded in the seventh?Blevins is (finally) pitching well enough to be dealable.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 7, 2018 Author Posted August 7, 2018 Yeah, I think the Mets signed him after he cleared, rather than claiming him on waivers.Yeah, I wondered why Blevins wasn't in for the seventh too, but I get the idea that Mickey has ease off on him only facing the toughest batters on the most thankless situations. No, I don't know why he instead chose to go with the least experienced guy out there in Wahl-E.
