Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Not actually a bad 1st inning from Wheeler- topped grounder too slow to be turned into an out- solid single by Yelich- fly ball which was deep though catchable by either Conforto or Bruce, but wound up being caught by neither- pop-up, pop-up, KOne hard hit ball. Also too many pitches but even that was mostly caused by the two non-plays

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Yeah, or at least, don't pop up like that.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Wheeler knocks in about 75 years old worth of legs on the bags.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 we need to score Wheeler st least.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Flores tries to pull too many outside pitches. Put him two or three inches closer to the plate, and he's an all-star.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Important shutdown inning there.Let's chase Chacin now.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 The Mets forge a lead only to promptly give it right back. This game is already starting to look a lot like yesterday's fiasco.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Jonathan Villar has the same walkup song as Amed Rosario.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 I realize that hit the bottom of the yellow stripe on the padding, but I thought it still bounced off of the top of the infrastructure under the padding and hit the wall behind the outfield wall.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 How many more of those fucking topped grounder/infield singles in Cain going to get in this series? That's two today and he had at least one earlier in the weekend.A couple more and he'll be forced to legally change his name to Jeter.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Tough ball-four call puts the tying run on base and now it's Blevvy Time.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 (edited) This Blevins for Gsellman swap I agree with (for reasons that Gary mentioned -- Shaw particularly vulnerable to LHPs) unlike the one the other night. Edited May 27, 2018 by Guest
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Blevins in for his lone batter again. This is usually a 50/50 proposition. Hopefully, he gets his man (Shaw) this time.
