  1. =G-Fafif post_id=156860 time=1716913147 user_id=55] Dedniel Nuñez, alive and well, is both games' 27th chap today.
  2. C.B. Bucknor should be next.
  3. You know, in thinking about it, perhaps a one-week window on the questions might be a good idea. I have quite a few to get through and it does get rather cluttered having 96,000 hints. So I'll spill the beans on the five unanswered ones now from a couple weeks ago now: 1. I got the first Met save that year I thought my career was gonna soar But then I had a few bad outings And the Mets showed me the door Who am I? Blaine Boyer 2. Pitching two games for the Mets was not the highlight of my career I pitched two games, lost one, and didn't return to the Majors for years With my ERA over 15.00 in those games I'm only lucky anyone recalls my name What Met am I? Mike Fyhrie 3. I played with The Worst Team Money Could Buy I couldn't hit, but I sure could fly I stole a lot too but didn't much walk The thing I did best: I was some flyhawk Who am I? Pat Howell 4. I played for the Mets for a short time. I hit a double off Randy Johnson. I came home to score. Who is this Met? Dae-Sung Koo 5. I came from Japan with high hopes But turned out to be just a dope I pitched two years, that was fun But just like that, I was done Who am I? Ryota Igarashi
  4. =G-Fafif post_id=156779 time=1716815900 user_id=55] The player to watch: rain
  5. New day, new hints added above. Like I said, I don't want those other questions to go unanswered (at the top of the page), however. For example, the unanswered pitcher in #2. He certainly was no Hampton (Mike); Fiery did not describe his fastball. And #4, I don't want that one to die—the fat lady hasn't Sung on it, it's merely been put to sleep with a baby's Koo. And I haven't given up on #5, not one Ryota—I mean, iota—nor #1, because I think the answer is Blaine—er, plain—to see. And finally, for the unanswered #3, I'll repeat what I said before—Don't stand Pat, How'll you guess it if you do?

  7. Oh, Tonkin and Teheran are very hard to forget. They illustrate some of the 2024 Mets earliest flailings. (Tonkin now has a 1.50 ERA for the Yankees). Jay will be back, he's doing well in Syracuse.
  8. Let's not oversell Houser, the Mets wouldn't have been in such a bind if he didn't help extend the Giants' lead. But Narvaez's performance was excellent.
  9. This is Narvaez's chance to become a cult hero. Imagine a grand slam by a .150 hitter.
  10. No one Bader to have at the plate than Harrison!
  11. =Cowtipper post_id=156717 time=1716752961 user_id=166] Man on, no outs? Perfect opportunity for New York to let us down.
  12. Man on, no outs? Perfect opportunity for New York to let us down.
  13. Gary loves to get excited over long fouls that are obviously going to go foul.
  14. I legitimately don't understand Bader's gloves and guards color choice. Is it a "pride" thing?
  15. Good fielding play by Houser, at least.
  16. This guy must be using ChatGPT to make his managerial decisions. Very unsatisfactory.
  17. And now it's 3-1. And the game is slowly fading away.
  18. And now it's 1st and 3rd with one out. Genius Mendoza making another genius decision.
  19. This is why Mendoza is an idiot. The Mets are down by just 2-1 and he brings HOUSER in. Houser, with the 7.82 ERA. And he promptly gives up a 1-out double.
  20. Well, it looks like the Mets have gone to the mop up man with a 2-1 lead. They really wanna lose a lot this season. Maybe they're gunning for that #1 overall draft pick.
