Are you posting from an asylum?I was used to these kinds of posts on the MOFo but I have come to expect some more educated opinions here.I'm equally as stunned to think that a Mets fan would even think this as I am to see it on this forum.

They have "game-used" gloves elsewhere on the site for quite a bit more money. So they're just old gloves with the branded signatures, nothing really more special than that. Either way, it's still neat. But that still doesn't make sense - Again a new glove is at least $45 bucks. The 'kewl factor' for those gloves alone is $45.00 no?
  4. Those seem like great prices for those gloves.$35 for Seaver's?A new glove will cost more than that, plus it's Seaver's! From '69!What's wrong with this picture?
  5. My Mets fandom began in the summer of '73. I was 8 going on 9.'Twas the 'Say Hey Kid' that intoxicated the young 'Can.

  12. I've said it before and I will continue to say it until you all fall in line dammit! This is a .500 team. And that's fine you know? They were horrible last year. This year they are a much better team. Fun to watch even. They'll be better next year just be patient.I'm glad that Omar did not pull the trigger on a Steve Phillips like deal this year. It's a good nucleus. Let this guys play and grow together. This team has a real chance to be very good for 5-10 years and how very cool would that be?

  24. cleonjones11 wrote:Anyone think Beltran has the look of a man who is not real pleased or comfortable as a Met?Not comfortable how? Because he's having a subpar year? Because he doesn't 'look' happy, pleased or relaxed? If he was hitting well and still had the same expressions would you still say that he was uncomfortable? He's not uncomfortable 'as a Met', he's been hurt and was probably putting a lot of pressure on himself. I'm sure this guy will get back to being the player we thought we were getting, if not before this season ends then next year for certain. Now - about that friggin' mole on his face...
