  1. Bruce gets the belt! [fimg=600:2cgkqm4k]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CpD5VlzWcAEVGnK.jpg[/fimg:2cgkqm4k]
  2. Good game. Good 2 see Bruce bash one.
  3. Oh this better not unravel. I can't take any more unraveling. I'm over unraveled.
  4. A damn dribbler. DP please. They owe us a few.
  5. Whose the Yankee idiothead? Yes, a closer giving up home runs is usually trouble. Duh. Fammys snappin' 'em.

  7. cooby wrote: Yankees announcers had Andy the Ratface Boy in the booth for a while Earlier I had the game on but was just listening as I worked on some graphics. And I'm listening for play by play but there wasn't any. It just sounded like a bunch of guys hanging out. So I look and they weren't even showing the game. There was some kind of Skankee circle jerk goin on with the Ratfaced Boy in the middle. I was repulsed. And just then when the Yanks scored the guy sounded like the fuckin Hindenburg was goin' down. These guys are awful. We are soooo spoiled.
  8. It's the 7th already? Yikes. and BRRUUUUUUUUUCE!

    Metsbar

I always thought that if I won the BIG lottery I'd buy the Mets. But fuck that, I'd buy this bar. I'm an instant Gus fan. I like the logo work. If I can find the time I'd like to do that up in solid colors for Gus, give him something he can print.
  10. cooby wrote: I blame Rick sutcliff. 'Let's have a scoreless inning'. Boom the mets have a scoreless inning. 'This guy hasn't had a HR against a left hander all year'. Boom there goes a HR against Matz Dumb head I could not stomach Sutcliff and his boisterous banter. I had to mute him after maybe 3 minutes. To me he sounds like , " Blah Blah blabla, blah blahblhablah blah, YEEEEHAAAA!." So after that I had the game on the TV (ESPN), sound down, & the game on SNY (MLB.tv) on the PC listening to our booth. But the PC was almost 2 minutes behind, as usual. This made the game an even wackier experience. d'Kong76 wrote: He's probably not always a dick, but he did let some dickdom show this evening. Ugh, he even looks like an asshole. Like he's always smelling his own farts and enjoying them. 10 bucks he's a total dick in and out of uniform. Frayed Knot wrote: This is now officially the worst-played baseball game in the history of mankind. I couldn't even read this thread when I popped in here before because I knew it would be a tough read. Do I make a Record Breaker card for this? It could be considered a fact. No one said it here but 7 innings, 92 pitches. Should have squeezed one more frame from Matz. TC can say, "well, I gotta keep Robles sharp", or some such shit, but fuck you Terry, you had a pitcher who was in a groove. You should also stick with starters when they are in a groove and under 110 pitches. Ashie62 wrote: Lets see Amed Rosario at SS for the good guys. A cup of coffee may help. Cabrera is about twenty pounds overweight and aint coming back. So what to lose? I just got this bad boy last week so yea, bring him up. And yes FK, that is the extent of my logic on this matter. Flores just looked pathetic in many ways. Bad night for Wilmer. I don't want to chop his feet off and see if he moves any faster, like many in the twitterverse wanted during the game, but he should not be getting time at short. I'm not gonna nail him to a cross but he has to be used to our advantage, not disadvantage. Give Reynolds the shot at short. Flores can spell 3rd, 1st, & 2nd. And PH. Cripes, Johnson can play short in a pinch, if it comes to pinch time. That's like crunch time but it leaves a little mark.
  11. Cespedes was born to go into the HoF with a nice on his cap.
  12. We keep getting new low after new low. How low can we go before there's no mo low? Teix must be SUCH a real asshole. I thought I was watching a little league player.
  13. I just sat down. I hear we have had 3 hits in a row including a Granderson
  14. Vic Sage wrote: i'm hoping Terry doesn't bat Bruce 3rd again. When I first saw that yesterday I was like WTF? We have a number of people more suited for that spot (even tho I think everyone is striking out a lot).
  15. Walker could have another April and a half. Bruce could go on to drive in 120. Conforto could become Stan The Man for a few months. The lack of plating RISP could balance out as it should, which means we will be doing a shitload of that from here on out. This can all happen because it's baseball. So I always hope, until the fat lady gets right in my face.
  16. The Mets could make a mad run, string a few winning streaks, end up 5 games up when the dust settles, because this is baseball.
  17. Whenever Bastardo took the mound I felt like we were done for no matter what the score. I didn't feel that way when Niese took the mound in his place last night. I know the huge lead helped but you know what I'm saying. No matter how much confidence I have left in Hawkman I know it's 10 times more than I had in Bastardo.
  18. I fantasized about Puig in the Mets OF ever since I saw him play. But this most recent stuff with him makes me a bit leery. I think Cespedes would be a great help to him though. I think Yoenis is a bit more mature than Puig and would make a good big bro type. The potential with Puig is crazy good, but that's if he hasn't already lost it. Personally, no matter what happens with him, I hope he gets back to form. 19. A-Rod's still on that team?
  20. cooby wrote: I know I am prolly the only one here that has ever shot a gun and believe me those earmuffs hurt I have shot a variety of guns. At one point when he was in the coast guard my father was in charge of a firing range. I was rather young, maybe 11,12. I shot an M-16 one time. They put two sandbags on my shoulder for the recoil. I was not allowed to use rapid fire. Guns didn't seem that loud to me, at least outdoors, which was the case w/this range. Kinda like firecracker or an ashcan loud, which I was familiar with. Pop, pop, pop I guess indoors it's real loud. Shit. Well, it's only one run. OE: I think a baseball crowd can reach higher decibel levels.
  21. wow, Walker too. I like. 7-0 Mets.
  22. cooby wrote: Aaah! Get those earphones off that little baby child! I think those are for the safety of his cute lil' eardrums.
  23. I happened to have M-Kay on in the garage and as soon as he said Tanaka had only given up 4 hits we ripped 4. And Tanaka's outta there! themetfairy wrote: THIS is why National League baseball rules! Fuck the DH! And fuck Ichiro!

I went out there and met those guys, interviewed them and shot em for the book. They gave me leftover box of front-panel uni numbers from the orange spring-training jerseys of 03. 3s 4s and 5s only. Pretty kool. Am I the only one who has a problem with d'Arnaud jumping as far outside as the opposite batters box right before a pitch?
