  1. Woody not goody-looks at strike 3. NO BREW 4 U!!
  2. Is he the oldest player ever to draw a walk? bases juiced for Woody.
  3. ScarletKnight41 wrote: Damn - Cliff strikes out He took some mighty swings there tho. Looks like Houston will once again go to the pen for Springer. 2 out 1st and 3rd, Mr. Franco to PH. The Mets are readying Wagner for the 9th.
  4. Val singles- Delgado with a nice line single to right center puts runners on the corners for Cliff. 1 out in the 8th.
  5. ="TransMonk"]Hehe...He said dooky. Dont laugh,.... dookys a poor wittle wabbitt..... I got pics for everything, lol.
  6. No way did Beltraan swing at that. That was a check swing. That 3rd base ump eats dooky.
  7. Sanchez looks fiiiiiiine.....
  8. Reyes is just too anxious lately. Swingin over crap. He needs to crack a triple - that snap him out of it. Not this time tho-he strikes out.
  9. ScarletKnight41 wrote: Let him sing the National Anthem..... Ha! Id like to see him try. For him, thats a 3 hankerchief song.
  10. Hernandez thru 7 and looking good. Has the Asstros swingin at his pitches and poppin up. The way he has pitched so far for the Mets, I didnt expect him to recover from his first inning jitters. But he has, and this is a really good sign for the long haul. Enuff of this he's either on his game or off his game stuff. Many starting pitchers take an inning to settle in all the time. And ElDouque will make way for Sanchez as Chavez comes out to PH. Good job ElDuke.

  12. ="ScarletKnight41"]="KC"]I don't love Meatloaf, but I respect him, I love a song he did on Nugent's Free for All album -- I don't need to hear him sing and solicit the bozos in the booth to join in -- shut up already NOW!!! */rant* I like Meatloaf, but this garbage of celebrity interviews in the middle of ballgames is bullshit. Just show us the freakin' game! I dont mind if said celebrity is a Met fan, like Sienfeld. Jerry actually rattled off some Met trivia--that was neat. But shameless plugs should be saved for the talk show circuit. (was Meatloaf plugging something? All I heard was blah,blah,blah--like when an adult talks on Peanuts)
  13. smg58 wrote: ....and the Angels would happily move Kennedy...... I really wish they would move this guy anywhere so Kendrick plays fulltime. And its not like they aint tryin,....I would think.
  14. And we will get at least 6 out of ElDouque, and he has settled down. Amazing.
  15. I dont think Ive ever seen a batter do what Delgado did there. After the called strike on the curve ball he did a lil air swing thru the zone where the pitch was immediatly afterward. He would like another shot at that pitch, Im sure. He goes down and gets them and hits em out. Borkowski come back with a similar pitch, but more in on Delgado, and he wiffs.
  16. smg58 wrote: Hillenbrand wound up in San Franciso, although Jeremy Accardo could turn out to be a very steep price to pay, especially if Benitez goes to the DL again. The Astros felt they could improve on Rodriguez' 5.22 ERA. They have a bunch of young starters, but are still waiting for one or two of them to establish some consistency. I bet they could, but they are playing real baseball, not fantasy baseball. The guy had 9 wins, most on the staff. Hey, maybe its a great move-I dunno. I just find it wierd to demote your winningest pitcher during a pennant race. Yea-I saw Hillenbrand got picked up late last night. I think he's gonna be a fine fit in S.F. Accardo is alot to give up, considering he could become a fine closer some day. Im just glad Hillenbrand is playing again. I never heard all that crap about his past problems ( was it in Boston?) in baseball until this happened. Now he gets a rep as a selfish non-team player. I wonder if thats a fair assessment........ All I got from this is he likes to play and dont like it when he doesnt. He was always just a quite guy who was a pretty solid player, as far as I knew. And still know, for that matter. I hope he flourishes on the Giants, more so for him and his career than my fantasy baseball team.
  17. Reyes is swingin very undisciplined since he came back. Still, less interviews, more Reyes clips FOX.
  18. Theres no doubt Backe has been unsettled. Walks Woodward after almost crowning him.
  19. Cliffy rips a line single to right. 1st and 3rd. Xman.
  20. ="ScarletKnight41"]Meatloaf is in the booth, and he's singing. I hate these Fox games. This is a sport, people - additional entertainment is NOT necessary! Especially Meatloaf. And suddenly its Songs From The Seventies. Great album, Bat Out Of Hell, but I dont need to hear it during a Met game. Delgado will lead off- lets get something going. CarlosDee with the lead off walk. Cliffy up.
  21. Big K by Hernandez. Still 3-1.
  22. OlerudOwned wrote: The only way I'd want to be between McCarver and Buck is if I was on fire and they were covered in gasoline. LMAOOOO!
  23. Elster88 wrote: ="Zvon"]Elster88 wrote: Every ball is to the warning track. Ill take that all day if they are outs. I'd argue that that is not a good idea. Of course its not a good idea. Id still take flyouts to anywhere as opposed to what Im seeing now. 1st two Asstros reach on a boot and a bingle. But the Mets pull off the DP! BIG Ill take those all day too, if I have to.
  24. Fine catch by Berkman off Beltraan. If ElDuke can hold em--I think we can reach Backe.
