  1. McCain chats and possibly widens the supposed generation gap between him and some voters when he says Ted Williams was his boyhood hero and the D'backs are "2 inches" from tying this game up.
  2. KC wrote: On that odd triple off the top of the wall that Alou had to chase into center I noticed that Beltran was no where in the picture. Was he picking his nose or something? The fact that Alou caught up with that ball before Beltran was more shocking to me than the bounce off the wall.
  3. AWWWOH! I missed foul pop opportunity. Shudda been caught. Ill blame Schnied...(Wright shudda had it,lol) All game predictions are officially off.
  4. YIKES. Augie doggie with another hit. Should we trade Reyes for him straight up? Steve? Seriously tho, go get him and stick him at 2nd base Omar.
  5. Reyes Ks. He tosses everything not sewn on him, lol. Hey, I like to see that kind of fire but if that helmet came up and hit him in the head we'd be in trouble. Note to Reyes: Throw equipment AWAY from your body please. Far away.
  6. That WAS wierd. Like Darling said, how does that ball not have the momentum to continue and bounce over? Like the "ball on the wall" back in '73. This might be a break for the Mets tho....thats how Im gonna spin it anyway. 2-1 Mets after 4 complete.
  7. Off the real top of the wall. No more predicting for me....well...one more. final: 7-1 Mets!
  8. Justin Upton justin keepsin hittin. Schnied! wHaTrYaTrYiN2Do2mE? stop those wild pitches guy.
  9. Ill take one run at a time. Here, lemme type the final: 7-0 Mets! 2-0 , bottom of the 4th.
  10. DOUBLOOM! Delgado hits one that shudda been a homer. Damn goofy stadium.
  11. Reynolds over runs the foul pop and looks goofish
  12. 1-0 us after 3 Wright leads off. Time to break this baby open.
  13. That darn Augie doggie. And he was out.
  14. He's just plain goofy lookin. Wright almost got a hold a one in the 1st, flyin out to the 417 mark in center.
  15. Church: 1 Beltran: .8 Delgado: 2 Casanova: .6 Sosa: 1 Heilman: 1
  16. ......do we have to put this one in the books?
  17. Augie doggie makes it 6 RBI. What comes after sad? Officially speaking?
  18. Okay, this is officially sad. 4-7. I like how Chavez let that foul drop. Too bad they still plate that run.
  19. He isn't^ Sanchez in trouble right off the bat(s) in the 8th. 2 singles start the inning. On edit: 3 singles.
  20. ="TheOldMole"]Heilman keeps 'em in it! Good thing too. If he didn't I had some very nasty things to say. Church and Wright go down. Beltran, be big.
  21. Heilman, whatRyaTRYINtoDOtoME? A walk, and he hits 2 batters to load em up.
  22. Randolph asks Wagner to keep criticism in-house May 2, 2008 PHOENIX (AP) -New York Mets manager Willie Randolph told Billy Wagner to keep critical comments in-house Friday, two days after the closer ripped pitcher Oliver Perez following a blowout loss to Pittsburgh. Wagner criticized Perez after the left-hander lasted just 1 1-3 innings in a 13-1 loss to the Pirates on Wednesday, a night after the Mets exhausted their bullpen in an 11-inning victory. "Perez has honestly got to step up and know that we've just used every guy in our bullpen the night before," Wagner said at the time. "He can't come out there and decide that, `Gee, he hasn't got it today and so be it."' When asked if talking to Perez was like talking to a wall, Wagner said: "Pretty much." Wagner had little to say Friday. "It's all been taken care of," he said. Randolph addressed the subject Friday before the Mets' game in Arizona "I wouldn't go that route, but that's Billy," Randolph said. "Billy gets a little emotional at times. If he feels that way, it's fine. Billy doesn't speak for the team. That's just him. That's just his opinion." AP NEWS The Associated Press News Service
