  1. Well, this years hats certainly beat the red ones. The Mets and red DO NOT MIX. I own the all blue one from a few years ago and I wear it as I type. Not always when I type..........just when I type this weekend. Okay, I'll shut up now.

That's very kool bro. When they come to the realization that they need a kool logo to be successful, bring em here and I'll make em one.
  8. Who is/was your favorite Canadian baseball player? Ken MacKenzie. He was an original Met, and led the staff with a winning record on a team that lost 120 games in 1962. He was 5-4 for the Mets. He was 8-10 for his 6 year career. So he came to the Mets just to shoot his biggest load. Ken is 76 years old and is still pitching. And when I say pitching, I mean dribbling, which is what the way-way northernmost Canadians call "pitching". Least favorite? Pop Smith. He played the infield in the days before baseball gloves, and he loved it. He died on the day I was born, April 18th, but many years before, in 1927. I don't like people who die on the day I was born. It bums me out on a day that I should be in total celebration mode. Pop Smith made the Canadian Baseball Hall Of Fame. Canada has no business having a baseball hall of fame. I don't like that they do. I hold it against Pop Smith. What do you like about Canada? Terence & Phillip What don't you like about it? Its not enough north of us for me. Have you been to Canada? Yep Where did you go? Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. Where haven't you gone in Canada, but would like to go? To the rest of the place. Pop Smith
  9. I do hat Guzman. I do, I do.
  10. Kirk: "Santana will not pitch the 8th, Spock. It's a shame those humans in blue did not give him more support." Spock: "He pitched well Captain. But according to your earth rules in this competitive game you call baseball, not well enough for a win." Kirk: "But he DID pitch well enough, Spock. Even though he was in constant trouble, he did pitch a great game. You have much to learn about baseball my friend." Spock: *Shrugs Shoulders
  11. Rockin' Doc wrote: The thing I found most telling was not the movement of his cutter, but his ability to avoid the middle 1/3 of the plate. All of his pitches for a year, and very few were in the center of the plate. It would seem to me that a right handed batter should try crowding the plate against Riviera. That would allow them to better reach the cutter as it tails away from them. Such an approach would invite Riviera to try to jam the hitter with a 4 seam fastball, which isn't his preferred or best pitch. Plus, it gives the benefit of easier pitch recognition, since any pitch on the inside corner to a right hander batter is almost assuredly a fastball since a cutter would break over the center of the plate, which Riviera and most pitchers try to avoid. Of course, I understand that Riviera would be a handful for virtually any batter, but I believe that as a hitter, you have to try to adapt to what the pitcher is trying to do to you in order to give yourself the best chance at success. I seriously think you have something there Doc. That be kool if this vid results in everyone figurin out how to get to him. Hey, remember this if we play the Skanks in the series this year.
  12. Santana gettin outta jams but that was a close one. How long can he do this Spock? For.... how.... long?
  13. July 1st: The coffee here is not as good as the Ricans. As a result I'm somewhat under control.
  14. Utley, Uggla, now Guzman.... is it possible I just hat all 2nd basemen? (not on the Mets, of course. I would love Tejada, but he's only 11 and I'd end up in jail.)
  15. Nice Johan. Godd job mah man.
  16. It hit of the pad on the wall top and man, was Carter lucky that shot off the wall into his glove. Then he makes a horrible 100 hop and roll throw to up the left field line. Should hit that cut-off or even thrown it behind the runner, tho he was gonna settle for a double. Hope this don't hurt us. Get out of it Santana. BIG K!
  17. Yikes, Carter plays the karoom of the wall perfectly lucky and then he tries to throw the ball to me here in NJ. They are gonna review this, but that was no homer.
  18. Jesus is hotter than the 4th of Juuuuly. Oh my, I feel faint.
  19. What happened? When I left this was the no-hitter I predicted yesterday and the day before. Ohhhhhhh, they got a hit.
  20. ty G. Hope all is well with Fman and I hope he don't mind me pinch hittin for him. But I do prefer we have IGTs during the game. I hate to say great news, but to me it is. Utley out for 8 weeks with a suckin thumb.
  21. I can't be here on a regular basis for a lil while, and I have no line ups ready. Mets score first as they bring one around w/small ball. Felice single, Tejada sac bunt, Dave did his thing (K), Davis singles in Polanco head.
  22. I can't find an IGT anywhere? If there is one I am sorry.
