  1. Wow. Expected Tejada to score there and he's gunned down by Rollins. I'm gonna stop expecting things.
  2. Expected Duda to score there. And Niese with the big hit! 2 ribbys to boot. Wow, replay shows Thole safe there at third. damn.
  3. To Bill. LGM! Ugh, that fuckin Ruiz. He's gonna become my new nemesis.
  4. I just had this vision of Tejada playin short for the Mets for many years and doin a good job, ending up with Met career numbers that will rival the great Ed Kranepool himself. Nice at bat there. Made Worley work. And Murph with the TRIBOOM. Nice
  5. I know - that cream color appeals to me a lot more than the white (especially at that price). I believe it's the same one, with the only difference being the lighting. I think LWSF is correct. The '69 Seaver M&N is somewhat similar to what they are wearing at home this year, and it's supposed to be "off white". This is from wikipedia: On November 16, 2011, the Mets announced new uniforms for their 2012 season, as part of the unveiling of their 50th anniversary plans.[13] Among the changes included the removal of the black drop-shadows that had been present on Mets jerseys since 1998. The off-white pinstriped jersey, introduced as an alternate in 2010, becomes the primary home jersey while the plain-white jersey with blue placket and sleeve piping, first introduced in 1997, is now the home alternate.
  6. The double hat header is awsome Edge.
  7. I don't know if this is made to the same specs as mine (I bought that 25 years ago) but it looks close. Mine doesn't seem as white, and also I paid quite a bit less at that time. I do remember tho how I debated with myself for hours before I bought it cause I thought YIKES!, this is expensive. After much thought I decided I just had to have that jersey. http://www.mitchellandness.com/products/new-york--mets-1969-home-jersey---tom--seaver__7229-417-69tsea1.aspx

M&N's also your your only bet for vintage looking Seaver jerseys that bear a very close but not perfect resemblance to the jerseys he actually pitched in. This^. I got the Seaver '69 home jersey up at Cooperstown many years ago and it's my favorite jersey. I wear it once a year on my birthday.
  9. Ha! Phils suck. Someone here questioned my feelings of satisfaction with the Mets at this point of the season. Alls I can say in response to that is the Phils are having exactly the type of season that I expected the Mets to have this year, up to this point. Around 10 games out, injury woes, pitching woes, hitting woes, etc woes. And the Mets are in the position I expected the Phils to be in, 3 or 4 games out, getting timely hitting and good pitching (for the most part), as they waited for Utley and Howard to return. I don't know about you guys, but I find this extremely satisfying. NICE KTE!
  10. Bad game. BOOOOOOOO. We gave it away.

  17. Next time up I'd plunk Gordon right on the knee.
