  1. They say Burkes from right around me down here in south Jersey. I'm gonna go TP his house.
  2. oh, double switch. hmm
  3. Why is Valdesac in for Duda? MLB.TV blocks my SNY feed for the Phils. They're announcers are not bad.
  4. Phils booth now insinuates that 7 may not be enough. What r they smokin? Lee with a 7 run lead? Their pen can't be that bad. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: I blame it all on Turner for hitting into a DP with nobody out in the second. Thats like wasting two at bats!
  5. unfuckinbelievable
  6. Yea, lets allow Howards first homer of the season. Young?! Get Gee outta there.
  7. Messy, messy, smelly, stinkie inning. Dudas throw was a tough break. When your throw hits the runner its gotta be pretty close to a good throw. Gee is just falling apart now. Yea, give an RBI hit to their pitcher. Rollins doubles.... Phils booth thinks 4 won't be enough and I'm gonna agree.
  8. How did we not get Brown going to 2nd?!!
  9. Look, Turners awesome! Ya know, when envisioning him as the infield filler guy I really wasn't thinking 1st base, though I'm okay with it. I do believe Muffy at first and Turner at second would be better.
  10. Jeeze, I'm sitting here with the wrong channel on the TV. Missed Murph and Bucks hits. Is Buck gonna hit singles too cause that would be nice.

  12. vtmet wrote: or why not Murphy at 1st and Turner at 2nd...Murphy is decent at 1st, both are decent at 2nd, Turner sucks at 1st...is playing first totally going to corrupt Murphy's learning curve at 2nd? Good points. If Turner embarrasses me tonight cause I went to bat for him, I'll...I'll...make a bad graphic of him or something.
  13. Day off for Ike. Cowgill, cfMurphy, 2bWright, 3bBuck, cByrd, rfDuda, lfTurner, 1bTejada, ssGee, p You might expect Duda to slide up to first when Ike has the day off. But you'd be wrong. Because what you're not thinking about is that Terry <3's Turner. I'm glad they are not putting Duda all over the place. Let him learn left at his own pace, which very well could take the remainder of his career. I love Turner too. Get that boy some at bats. He fills in every infield spot almost effortlessly, like hes playing in a softball game or something. I think he should almost always be first choice when one of our reg infielders needs a rest.(*braces for fallout)

  15. I only figured to be doing this once a month, but Bucks opening performance requires immediate emergency surgery. Trav, if Buck hits 35+ HRs this season, see you in September. Working on a home uniform version of Wright to slip in there. Byrd is waiting on the sidelines but who do I pull for him? Step it up Duda. 16. I'll go baaaaaaaaaaaaaack in history.

  18. Edgy MD wrote: There's some crazy misreporting in that blog. For one, it makes Warthan's statement seem like it comes in response to Maine's recent Times comments, when it was said after Maine's fate-sealing start about Maine's insisting that he was OK to pitch when he wasn't. It's also a little incomplete. The full comment was, "John is a habitual liar, in a lot of ways, as far as his own health." (The Times link has the full quote and the correct timeline.) It also unfairly conflates the team's training staff, diagnostic physicians, and rehabilitation team. I agree. And I've always thought of the problems being with the medical side of the staff as opposed to the training side.
  19. Excellent DJ! Perfectly blurred to match. The Second Spitter wrote: This would have been a million times better if it was an Apollo mission pic, especially this one or even this one. Oh, I see what your sayin. The image wasn't very "historical". The ones you linked would put it more in that context. That's true and sorry bout that. Went for the funny. I had this wallpaper I created a few years ago for Dr. Who. Looking around for images to use for this I found a layered (.psp) save of the Who/River Song wallpaper. Thought it would be funny to just slide Freds head in there and slap on a new backround. So 95% of the work that went into the astronaut image was done long ago. Yea, kinda like cheating.
  20. Not sure where to post this so I'll post it here. Maine Speaks Out Re: Mets Training Staff. http://mets360.com/?p=15839
  21. Murphy: .6 Wright: .6 Byrd: .2 Duda: .2 Buck: 2.6 Tejeda: 1 Harvey: 4.2 Edgin: .8

Some great pitching. The bullpen scares me. But Niese and Harvey sure do like the real deal. Sure me too but a bullpen is easiest to fix. If they are genuinely contending then it's a problem that can be rectified with small investment. I think the bullpen will surprise us. You won't get me to go as far as to say how.
