I mean, if he were to drop it out of his glove and onto the mound while trotting past would the ump declare it a 'no catch'? I don't think so. That's why it always struck me as an odd bit a rule book minutia. It was an ump getting fancy with the rules, no doubt. If that call was against us (our fielder dropping it) I would have went ballistic.

  3. Wow. What a day for the Capt.
  4. Some no name first appearance rook Ks the side.
  5. Hawkins on to take charge.
  6. And Byrd doubles in Wright. This is fun. Baseball is awesome again.
  7. Wright is slammin! Old TriBOOM image Ill run out one last time.
  8. Games starting up again. hmmm.
  9. Darling "this [the rain delay] might knock Harvey out" it HAD BETTER knock Harvey out... in a 6-0 game what point would there be in marching your young ace out there again after he takes a seat for so long? bring on the shitpen! Agreed #83 Impressed Savery got up to make that play on the liner by Harvey. Here's a screencap I got of the play: Better than any image I would have come up with. Very accurate depiction.
  10. The tarp comes out.

  12. Raining harder now. 6th inning.

I've never seen it happen quite like that. Ha! Revere sucks! Though technically the rule says he did not complete the play. It always seemed odd to me that that rule is enforced more on outfielders than anywhere else. And even w/OFers it's rare. I have seen it, just not that often (probably 3 or 4 times in my life). Watching it live I really thought he completed the play. Even after he dropped it I thought he had it long enough. But the rule does say transfer glove to hand. Yes, I was surprised at this call. Q sacs Buck for 6-0
  14. Lagares slugs our 5th double of the game! 5-0 Matts!
  15. A 6 pitch inning by Harvey.
  16. All started with that interesting call on the Revere fly. 4-0 Matts
  17. And Young doubles in Harvey. Nice. And Wright doubles Young home. WOOT!

  19. WOW!!!! Ive never seen that. Revere drops a fly on the exchange. Lagares gets to third!
  20. Harvey gets out of a pickle. GJ.
  21. We have a light rain falling
  22. Wright just misses one. Opp field double.
  23. Nevermind. I figured it out.
  24. I'm working on this one. I need pictures of Harveys follow through from that view to complete the progression. I've really searched the web for images. Eventually I'll get pics of the tail end of his windup. Using the new CorelDraw6 for much of this project. I'm likin it. OE: Pulling this- I found some images to add.
