  2. I gotta love that blue Montero glove. GJ guy.
  3. I doubt that would have gone through but still.....
  4. Damn that Harper. No one else cuts that from finding the gap. Holds Wright to a single.
  5. Damn. Great play by Zimm steals a leadoff single from Grandy. We need the LONG BALL. OOO, Wright swingin' for it.
  6. Nice play by The Dude.

Jacob looks like he's having a problem getting a feel for the ball. He's pitching well, but he looks uncomfortable. Maybe it's just the cold.
  8. Ugh. But now the home plate ump sucks, rings up Grandy. That was close, it dipped down at the last sec, but I do believe that was a tad high. 2-1 Washingtinians
  9. Good call Welke.
  10. lol. Flores singles with a swinging bunt to third. Bases juiced.
  11. Sure glad a pitcher was batting 8th. deGrom dePops out trying debunt.
  12. Back to back singles by Muffy & Lags and the chant of LETS GO METS fills the night air. d' singles & drives in Murphy!
  13. Zimm takes deGrom deep & the Nats lead, 2-0. That wasn't a horrible pitch.
  14. Mets down 1-2-3 in the first.
  15. Ugh, Welke, you suck!
  16. This game is in a rain delay, starting time moved up. It's very damp and bone cold out there.
  17. As far as game two of the season goes, historically speaking, the Mets are 27-26.

I really had to bust it to get it in. I meant to do all the predicting and forecast theads but I kept putting it off. Someone remind me next year how I screwed up this year.

  20. I still don't like Lags not leading off. Like I've said before, like Ronnie said today. You don't groom a guy to lead off, have him excel, and then not lead him off. TC will say he's protecting him from...what? The pressure? Bullshit. Every game counts. Time to take off the kid gloves T.C., and if you want Laggy to be the lead off guy, don't fuck with his head. Let him lead off.

  22. I'm hearing it's Mejia's elbow. Jeeze. I knew they wouldn't consider leaving Familia in for the 9th, and hurt Mejia or not, they should have considered it. Well, I imagine now Familia gets the ball in the 9th if Mejia goes down. He was so filthy today the ball couldn't find the strike zone. But it didn't matter.
  23. I don't think we were supposed to win this one and we did. This makes me extra happy.
