I read somewhere that the urinals in Citi will be of the "waterless" variety. They did that in Philly for the football stadium and the plumbers union freaked so they installed regular plumbing in the event that they want to switch back. Read into that any way you want.

I enjoy looking at the photos of former Mets at the top of the page. Sometimes, though, I scratch my head and say "who is this guy?" If there's a number on the jersey, mbtn has the answer. Other days, like today, not so much. Hey admins, would a caption under the photo be so difficult?

Interesting that Mr. Goldberger suggests that Citi should have been built on the west side of Manhattan. I was in favor of the LIC area with a PNC Park-esque view of the Manhattan skyline beyound the outfield wall. -

Finally saw this thing last night. Ledger was good. Oscar worthy? Eh. Didn't blow me away. He was certainly good, but the character wore on me a bit toward the end. Bale came across as ball-less and weak.

Bad precedent in that now they must do this political non-sense each election cycle or be criticized. Next it's Schumar-lyn Day or Giuliani-lyn Day. As the sign in the corner pub reads, "no talk of politics or religion allowed".
