  1. Screw amateur sports (Oh, and call it the New Era Bowl please. :-D ) This just paves the way for a possible Winter Classic at Citi.

    You're Cut

    Add in Carlos Muniz.
  3. I love that celebration. Excellent stuff. They plunked him, he took his base. it's over. well, until next time. :-D
  4. I'm not tied to the divisional set up. In fact, the floating idea might do something for those that lament the old days of balanced schedules and rivalries between the Mets-Cubs or whatever your favorite was. But the way it's currently being presented is not good. Cleveland moving the AL East to get those lucrative games against the 'good teams'? Isn't that almost like giving the Yankees a bye? "Oh, you guys are good on paper. Let's move crappy rebuilding teams into your division to make it a forgone conclusion that you'll win." What about playoff teams being mandated to play all 7 other playoff teams the next year? Might be an interesting thought.
  5. What's a Millennial? Is that me? Someone that "grew up" turning the turn of the Millenium? I don't have a tattoo. Not that I'm against one, but it'd have to be a good one. It's either a nice glass of beer, or a blue and orange Mets NY logo. And I'll pass on the long punishing recession, thanks. I already have too much debt and a wedding to pay for.
  6. btw, www.nleastchatter.com/realdirtymets usually makes a gameday post and links to the GameDay.
  7. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2010_03_09_houmlb_nynmlb_1 From what I understand, it's not great with the updating and crap, but it's there.
  8. You know, I kinda missed the "A-Rod's Boy Friend!" Chants at Citi/Shea the last couple of years. Maybe I was just in the wrong place.
  9. "And despite Manuel's comments" Why do I feel like this is too common a phrase? Why does it seem like Omar spends half of every discussion clarifying, explaining, or correcting something Jerry has said? If you can't get Manuel to shut up and be on the same page as the organization, why is he here?
  10. I'm just throwing this out there as a forecasting exercise while testing my theory about actually seeing the films being a detriment to accurate predictions I was refraining from predicting since I hadn't seen them but in that case.. give me a minute.
  11. Arguably, I don't care about any of the awards because they never reflect the decisions most people make when they go to see a movie. I don't see how Avatar doesn't win best picture though given the hype and production of it. I wonder if I'll even be able to watch though. silly ABC/etc.
  12. lenno212 Dr. Andrew Martorella, a thyroid specialist at Weil-Cornell, says Reyes' condition "very common, very treatable and completely curable."
  13. It's sad that the speculation of HGH has to be brought up for just about everything. On the other hand, Reyes didn't play in any games after seeing that doc, and if it caused a thyroid problem we can be reasonable certain that he's clean going forward (And was clean before hand)
  14. And it's this history that makes me support everyone for the Hall of Fame. I know there is a thought to keep steroid guys out, but by singling out those that got caught you're passively condoning all those that cheated and didn't get caught, all those guys like Henderson Rose and Ripken that he mentions may have attained their records and fame by taking illegal substances.
