metsmarathon wrote: we're not able to close the draft until he's got a legal roster are we? speaking of which, can you put the draft back on the schedule so that we can load up our respective watch lists, or does htat only happen once we're like 24 or 48 hours out? I honestly have no idea. hmm..how do I 'close' a draft? that's an interesting question. The draft window is still there. I popped in this morning to confirm that the order was fixed (it was) and my watch list was still intact as well. (Mike Piazza just sitting there waiting to be nominated)

I have a feeling FMan's, like, OUT out. We should probably get confirmation from him, and then mark his team abandoned, and then see if we can get a fill in. Or something. Trades are always possible anyway, some will have cap room, can take on a big salary if they need to.

Pelfrey might get you points on a HR/9 value, but we'll see on that. No, the drop deadline was like 2/1 or something. Can drop guys, but I think they still count halfway against the cap. I didn't really overbid on much, probably because since I couldn't nominate none of the guys were "my guys". Hopefully now that I have more money and I can sorta scare you guys away Tuesday night from the filler I want.

Vic Sage wrote: wow, another CF assignment for Baxter. Did he even have a significant number of starts in CF in the minors? and i thought May was a catcher. Is he a UT like Rottino, or is Terry just seeing if he could be one? made a nice play (May) at 3B yesterday I think, so it's interesting for sure. Baxter didn't get a lot of CF playing time in the minors, but supposedly he said that's because he was 'blocked' by some other CF prospects (Will Venable, etc) in the San Diego system. i.e. he played right because that's where there was room, not because he couldn't play center.

apparently Joba Chamberlain was jumping up and down on a trampoline with his son..and dislocated his ankle. -
What were his numbers like prior to say 2005 though? I feel like he came back to earth a bit against the Mets

Tuesday at like 8:30 again I think we said. We're most of the way there. We'll have a couple of low-end bidding wars to come, and then probably a lot of nominating guys for $1 and everyone else passing to fill out the roster.

Sabathia obviously.

The big Q.

Looks like a nice lineup, and quite a few CPFers too.

Edgy DC wrote: Well, two of them are unavailable. Ike Davis turns 25 today. and the other two, Duda and Thole, have been getting plenty of time. (and one's a catcher)

on Astros radio too via mlb at bat. (and SNY for you lucky home during the day/unemployed folk)

John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Well had I done any preparation it's all gone to shit now. Jose Bautista: good. Verlander: good Ivan Nova: scrub Alex Rodriguez: injury prone and washed up. Miguel Cabrera often number 1 pick overall. (I did no prep either. I recommend everyone load up a Yahoo or ESPN or mlb or something preranking grid for the sake of knowing the top players.)

Nah, ottoneu doesn't offer that type of flexibility.
