  1. The Cubs won their 10,000th game in their history last night. Their overall record is 10,000-9,465. My question is, if they're such big losers, and they haven't won a World Series in a hundred years, how the hell do they still have an all-time winning record?
  2. Nationals Park. Beautiful stadium. The Capitol in left field. Pagan takes his base. Duaner gets ready to fire. Double-play duo... The best of buds. Reyes at the plate. David takes his cuts. Castillo singles. David stands in. Carlos waits his turn. Castillo steals second. Carlos comes to bat. David leads from first.
  3. He could have gotten a triple, but it might have been close. We'll never know, though.
  4. Good game. Fun game. Fun win. Nationals Park is BEAUTIFUL. I'll post some pics I took later. I'm sure our new stadium will kick its ass though. Metfairy came by in like the third inning and we talked a while. It was great seeing you, metfairy! We both could not find Edgy. Where the heck were you, man? And I wasn't able to say hello to bmfc1 because the usher wouldn't let me through. Even in the eighth inning. You had some nice seats. Additional highlights (and lowlights) of the evening: Coming out of the Metro, some random Mets fan gave me a fist bump. The fans behind me were extremely talkative. At one point, they said that Angel Pagan's name is an oxymoron and that he'd never get out of Mississippi alive. They also regarded the Milledge trade as horrible, because they miss Schneider's defense. The service at the concession stands was HORRIBLE. I've never had to wait that long at a sporting event for food. I must have spent two innings standing there on line. Overall, a good night, though I yelled myself hoarse.
  5. ]Reds fire GM Wayne Krivsky after 9-12 start By JOE KAY, AP Sports Writer 22 minutes ago CINCINNATI (AP)The Cincinnati Reds have fired general manager Wayne Krivsky and replaced him with former St. Louis GM Walt Jocketty. The Reds are off to their worst start in five years. The firing wasnt as much a surprise as the timing. Krivsky knew his job was in jeopardy when owner Bob Castellini hired Jocketty as a special consultant in January. The two were friends from Castellinis days in the Cardinals ownership group. When the Reds got off to a 9-12 start, Castellini made a switch that was expected at some point. Krivsky, who was hired before the 2006 season, was in the final year of his contract.
  6. Section 312, Row E, Seat 7.
  7. Where are you sitting? I gotta get my ticket. Let's figure out a way to all meet up during the game.
  8. John Maine will strike you out if he wants to...
  9. There's room directly between the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial.
  10. They have baseball?
  11. Watched the final part tonight. After watching all seven parts, I am convinced that John Adams was an underrated giant of a man who deserves a hell of a lot more respect. He deserves a memorial in Washington. The man was essentially the Father of Independence.
  12. That's not where milkshake is from. It's from the final scene of the movie.
  13. 1. Move Church back to #2 and Castillo back to #8 2. Get the Pope back here
  14. What the hell? The lineup functioned perfectly with Church 2nd and Castillo 8th. Fuck Castillo's ego.
  15. We were waiting for Edgy.
  16. What the hell, I'll put up my Senator Chicken graphic in celebration:
  17. Holy crap, Ray Knight looks old!
  18. GAME OVER!!! WILD PITCH!!!
  19. Nats load the bases for Brian Schneider.
  20. Dammit, I have a great graphic set up for Senator Chicken.
  21. Hanrahan throws it away!!! Easley to third!
  22. Reyes fucks up the bunt, Easley steals second as Guzman can't get the ball.
  23. Easley starts it off with a single through the hole.
  24. Hey, Ray Knight does the postgame here.
