    Pudgy Power! I think he'll be up and down depending on Dudahealth. Still hasn't shown the pop in the bat yet, but maybe Vegas cures all ills. They'll keep him down until the Super-Two deadline passes even if they have to play Jay Bruce at first base. 6/20/.270 in 150 AB's. As is Terry's wont, he'll be batting him 7th-8th a lot until he proves himself.

    Saw that 'start the inning with runners on first & second' rule in the DR/Colombia game. I hated it in the abstract, but hated it even more seeing it in action. It's a mind-bogglingly stupid idea. After a tight, hard-fought game, they give up 6 runs in an inning. Absurd.

    Well, Nimmo did himself no favors by pulling a hammy while pretending to be Italian. So it's probably Conforto fighting for playing time. 6th/7th relievers, I'd rather see Smoker than Edgin, and Rowen than Goeddel. But they'll be able to carry three of them for a month while Familia's in the penalty box, so they might have a better idea of what they have by then. Lugo goes to LV to tune up as a starter. Wheeler goes to extended spring Training. TJ should get 6th infielder. You're right, no a lot of drama here.

    It's always something with Matz. Until he actually does it, I'll never predict him for a full season. 8-5, 3.25, 18 starts. Good when he's on the field but he won't be on it enough. Prove me wrong, Steven.

    I bought Who's Who a few times. And I have multiple editions of The Baseball Encyclopedia, an awesomely fat book with everything in it. It used to come out every few years, but they haven't published it since 1996.

    Hmm. DeGrom seems to be rounding into shape nicely. Wish I could put Céspedes in bubble-wrap until Opening Day.
