  1. A inning late with the thought, but maybe one answer to that wipeout slider Bass was throwing against righties in the ninth would have been to send Smith up for Davis.
  2. This game has a good chance of coming down to Nido's bat.
  3. Everybody was a little off on that play, including Holderman not backing upperman.
  4. Mark Canha, preparing for his future role as an automatic runner.
  5. I dunno. I think now is totally the time to get two innings out of Diaz.
  6. Two guys up. Two guys go down flailing ineptly at sliders a foot or maybe more off the plate.
  7. I wonder how many Fish before Bass have been actually named after fish.
  8. Pete is looking kinda terrifying up there.
  9. Fleep. Let's go, Delroy Lindor.
  10. Surprised they aren't back up the middle.
  11. But don't bunt a ball down at your shins!
  12. This version of Aguilar just blows my mind. He looks bloody awful in the field and on the bases — the speed of Mo Vaughn, the feet of Wilmer Flores, and the hands of Dick Stuart — and nobody can get him out.
  13. Oh, Inciarte DOES play for us.
  14. The call on the field is overturned.
  15. Hey! Two ejections for the Marlins!!
  16. I'm werried about us not getting a report as to why Marte left the game.
  17. I agree that there's going to be bad faith. But it's more that there's only so much processing power some of us have as the key data gets pushed to margins of the math. The arguments of data can be elusive, and how it's presented helps. Others can be too easily swayed by data presented well but misrepresenting the facts. I think we all will get stuck somewhere, but as long as players are going up there swinging at the first pitch with the tying run behind them in the ninth, I'm going to wonder how well we're learning.
  18. wowWOWwowWOWwowWOWwowWOW!!!!
  19. What seems like an oblique injury to McCannister may offer itself as a pretext to call Francisco's name.
