  1. Matt Olson is no Freddy Freeman.
  2. Eduardo Escobar gets "Jump."
  3. Pinch-running for Pete is the right move here. Inciarte can stay in the game in left, and Smitty can play first.
  4. Something's brewing. https://78.media.tumblr.com/3bafb383823821309042800f62a8ebae/tumblr_oynzs5OPBZ1vwth33o1_r1_500.gif>
  5. Francisco Lindor gets "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay."
  6. With the power on this team, the next inning has a good chance to be just as hairy. Tack. On. Now.
  7. He bends but he does not break.
  8. Shmut. Living on the edge here.
  9. Acuña is up as the tying run. Do. Not. Like.
  10. Looked like Neato landed hard on the bag running to first there.
  11. YEAH!!! I was about to question them bringing in O'Day with three of the next four hitters lefthanded, but Guillorme questioned it for me.
  12. Sweet ending, but that's probably it. Need three outs in the eighth, probably out of Otto. Let's get some runz!
  13. Got Ozuna with an inside fastball and an inside change to get ahead. Coming back in to him a third time was recklessness. I think we're on his last batter for certain.
  14. The war chant begins.
  15. And Riley takes a big chunk out of the margin for error.
  16. Swanson hitting one to the wall in the gap also makes me antsy.
  17. Yeah, it's a one-batter-at-a-time thing. But at this point, each batter he gets out pretty much crosses another reliever off of the we-might-need-him list. I'd just like to cross a few off with our batters. Seven hits, five walks, and a hit batsman and two runs? That's the sort of think that makes me antsy.
  18. Acuña here getting the full count has been the Braves best plate appearance. And he pops to short center. Seventy-four pitches through six. Can't ask for better.
  19. More than a bit lucky. Braves go to the pen but stay lefthanded.
  20. The hit-it-to-Canó strategy may have reached it's natural limits.
  21. We're at 91 pitches for Fried Flintstone with none out in the fifth.
  22. Worth noting: 1. The Braves are coming off a long extra-inning game, so getting into their bullpen may prove crucial as the series progresses. 2. If Davis comes up against a righthanded batter in a key situation, maybe the Mets aren't tempted to pinch-hit Smith, the way he's going. But if they are tempted, they mostly can't, because Davis is effectively their only backup at three infield positions.
  23. Goofing-off black employees make white employees do all the work at Wendy's.
  24. Outside of the occasional intentional walk, I think what they want is to get you out.
