  1. Well, that was some odd baseball. Also, I think that, while McNumble was rolling around on his shoulders, deGrom was giving the business to Angel Hernandez.
  2. Well, with the bases loaded after back-to-back walks (!!), and he has indeed given himself a challenge.
  3. And pitching like he's not used to it.
  4. Oh, man, the Mets are opening the tap on this pitcher.
  5. Angel Hernandez behind the plate this afternoon. Gary commenting that Hernandez has been on a different crew every time they've seen him, which doesn't have to mean anything, but probably means something. First two Mets hit safely and it's first and third with none out.
  6. Super-rare day off for Mets centerfielder Brandon Nimmo. 7. Sounds like the "abundance of precaution that the Mets did with Max Scherzer. Keepin' 'em fresh for the post-season.

  9. Reporter: What is it about your personality or demeanor that allows you to be so cool and collected in big spots like this. Bassitt: MASSIVE bag o' weed.
  10. John Deere — penis penis, penis penis.
  11. Bassitt and Canha enjoying their homecoming.
  12. And with the shutout gone, there's no prize for Bassitt to chase.
  13. The 2002 Athletics Moneyball Lineup Chris Pratt as Scott Hatteberg, 1b Brent Dohling as Mark Ellis, 2b Royce Clayton as Miguel Tejada, ss Art Ortiz as Eric Chavez, 3b Stephen Bishop as David Justice, lf Marvin Horn as Terrence Long, cf Gary 'G. Thang' Johnson as Jermaine Dye, rf Melvin Perdue as Ray Durham, dh Casey Bond as Chad Bradford, rp Miguel Mendoza as Ricardo Rincon, rp I don't see any credits given to actors for playing starting pitchers or catchers, so they're probably an easy win, even with a legit shortstop.
  14. Was it just me or was that woman with the "SMILE" shirt in yellow really creepy? I noticed that she stands up once in a while to either bring attention to her message or herself. I just guessed that you must be referring to the woman in the neon green shirt, and then she stood up, and YUP!
  15. Nice to see McNeil has something like his sprint speed.
  16. Lefty Specialist wrote: I only caught the end of that- how did he do it? Failed to negotiate a Manhattan curb. Supposedly had his phone in one hand and his glasses in the other, protected 'em both as he fell, but landed on his shoulder and tore a tendon.
  17. OH, MAN! Hernandez is out for the season!!
  18. I'M IN! Here's to Cassandra, Astros fan at MLB.tv Tech Support!

Meanwhile, I know I shouldn't be surprised that McNeil and Nimmo are both in the lineup, but ... WOW! McNeil and Nimmo are both in the lineup!! Why not just watch it on SNY. TV? I'm in Green Bay, WI and I'm watching on my laptop. Seeing if I can access over there. Grooving to "Livin' in America"! On with Tech Support Cassandra NOW!!!! Cassandra breathes heavy. It was so distracting and sensuous that I almost forgot my zip code. Now she's got me on hold again, and I'm "Running Down a Dream"!

  22. Not a bad job for a guy with .206 OPS.

  24. Holy shnikees! I'm blacked out!
  25. Checking to see if the lineup had been posted, I stumbled over the alleged lineup from the last time the Mets played the A's (7/23/2017): Michael Conforto, lf Curtis Granderson, cf Jay Bruce, rf Lucas Duda, 1b T.J. Rivera, 2b Jose Reyes, ss Wilmer Flores, 3b René Rivera, c Rafael Montero, sp
