  1. MLB Playoff Tiebreakers Head-to-Head Record Intradivision Record 1 Interdivision Record Last Half of Intraleague Games 2 Last Half of Intraleague Games Plus One 3 1 It's a little late in the day to be making this complaint, but this seems a little nutty (not that the whole thing isn't a little nutty). The Wild Card is a league-wide contest, so shouldn't your league record have primacy over your division record? 2 This represents your record against teams in your league over the second half of your schedule against them. So, say you play 116 games against NL teams, then this would be your record over the last 58 of those games. (This also seems like a silly way to settle a tie.) 3 This is the same as above, but your record would include the last 59 of those games. If the two teams are tied after that, then it goes to 60 games, etc.
  2. Also, since tiebreakers are now in play, the Mets are 3-0 against the Padres, needing to win one of the remaining four games against them, August 22–25, in San Diego, in order to clinch the season series. Get your tickets now!!!!
  3. The Mets just pulled ahead of the Padres by a single percentage point! 4. =Marshmallowmilkshake post_id=162177 time=1720727997 user_id=119] I don't know how he got out of that! BOOKS!
  5. "Hey, we could have our first shutout of the season here!" "Or ... and hear me out ... we can put in Ottavino!" I jest! Go, Otto!!
  6. All youse sweating for the Mets to trade for a reliever or three, best to keep an eye on this Kyle Finnegan character.

  8. 9. I never really liked Miguel Cairo. He was a favorite of Yankee-loving Met fans.
  10. Film a ton of footage of Phil Maton.
  11. I feel badly that vtmet7 bailed out on the forum over folks coming back at him over his Nimmo derision. But man, he's missing a terrific show.
  12. Soprano-voiced daycampers singing LET'S GO METS is awesome.
  13. Welcome to the game Dylan Floro.
  14. [bIGPURPLE]THREE-RUN DUBBLE!![/bIGPURPLE] https://media1.tenor.com/m/mUIEYr5coNUAAAAC/barney-rubble-the-flintstones.gif>
  15. Tough call, but Martinez sticks with Gore against Nimmz with the bags at capacity.
  16. Iglesias might be the last person I'd sit against a lefty, even if I wanted McNeil to not sit for multiple games. Howie Rose and Keith Raad are suggesting that Iglesias didn't get the call today due to "load management" issues after doing a lot of running yesterday.
  17. When it's first and third with no outs in the second, it kind of stinks to have the conversation be about the pitch count.
  18. McNubbins getting the call against the lefty.
  19. It's not a getaway day for the Mets, so hpoefully, the action isn't as counterfeit as it was in the last series-ender with the Nats.
  20. What's easy to forget is that Church had sustained a concussion in spring training on a collision with Marlon Anderson. So his smashing into Yunel Escobar's knee in May was his second concussion in little more than two months. He probably should have sat out for a while. I think it was 16 years ago.
  21. The trade the Mets won was somehow Milledge for Church and Brian Schneider. Church was a decent starter and Schneider a capable backup overexposed as a starter, but Milledge provided very little return at all. Then they mishandled Church's concussion and he was mostly a replacement player after that. That they flipped him into Francoeur may have seemed tempting, because he's the kind of two-tools-but-the-two-tools-are-really-impressive guy you can convince yourself you're getting marginal value out of, but he was a French mistake. A lot of decent reserves who were make-believe starters in that chain.
  22. Iglesias is a hittin' machine tonight. https://media3.giphy.com/media/xUA7be0s1t2nTT56rS/200w.gif?cid=6c09b952udzvxlali68v96v0ci8p6ze6fb949xj2cx9zrufj&ep=v1_gifs_search&rid=200w.gif&ct=g>
  23. Hey, it's 2021 Met, Jacob Barnes!
  24. When your bullpen is going poorly, use more of them but give them shorter assignments. That was a Willie Randolph strategy. I have my qualms.
