  1. Let us take a moment to recall that no small part of what kept that inning alive was Lindor somehow hitting a ball that bounced in front of the plate.
  2. Who pitches who pitches who pitches who pitches the bottom of the eighth?

I'm also very happy to burn through a bullpen in Game One of a series. Great to see Marte get to the plate and drive in a run too. He was effectively already out of the game!

  5. Amazing how Mets batters been behind in the count this whole inning.
  6. =Centerfield post_id=174189 time=1728167487 user_id=65] NOBODY MOVE. EVERYONE STAY IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT DURING THIS COMMERCIAL

  9. I never quite thought it would be necessary to go back in time and kill Hitler, perhaps go back to when he was born, steal him from his parents and give him to more loving parents. It wasn't a given when he was two days old that he'd grow up to be what he was. Anyway, I do agree about going back in time and not letting Wheeler go. And maybe giving Michael Wacha one more year, too. Edgy MD wrote: Remember, if you invent the time machine, before you go kill Hitler or whatever, please stop off in the 2019-2020 offseason and do something about Zack Wheeler signing with the Phils. The team needed to be sold a year earlier. This is on Wilpon. Youse can deal with Hitler and Wheeler the way youse see fit. I don't even wanna know. Just deal with them.
  10. Suddenly, Iglesias is a strikout guy. Hopefully, he sheds that this time, but he's 0-and-2 as I type.

  12. Grinding out a few walks has to eventually pay off, right?
  13. Alonso making a two-hand catch on a popup. Very gratifying. It also feels good to be trailing by a run and not feel that the slim difference is existential.
  14. The cruelest trainer's decision — "You're probably coming out of the game in two innings, when you start swelling up, but for now, take advantage of that adrenaline rush you just got and run the bases."
  15. I'm Mark Vientos and, as evidenced by my base hit there, both of you are nuts.
  16. Too much boozing in the replay room in Chelsea. Outlaw oven mitts.
  17. Well, they've fallen behind a LOT of late.
  18. Schwarber missed second base. Pass it on!!
  19. Holy shit! Senga is actually out there!
  20. Vientos should be swapping spots with Iglesias. He's just been too whiffy of late for the two-hole.
  21. Phillies calling it "Red October." Which side of The Cold War were you on, Phils?
  22. =G-Fafif post_id=174104 time=1728155225 user_id=55] =metirish post_id=174098 time=1728152890 user_id=72] This has gone from biggest HR and veered into favorite HR. At this rate, this thread will have every HR ever hit by a Mets player.
