  1. US Sentator Jeff Sessions?
  2. Welcome to the biggish leagues, Darrell Ceciliani. St. Lucie Mets all over the place right now: Tovar, Fraser, Muno, Ceceliani, Rafael Fernandez, and Cory Vaughn (the cuter Cory, IMHO). Bases full of kiddies now with Fernandez due up. Let's see who they call on. I'm hoping for Nimmo.
  3. Still up 4-1 in the eighth. Ryan Fraser (7-9, 3.58 for Savannah in 2011) has a scoreless inning for the Mets. Danny Muno also in the game.
  4. Tejada: three-run homer off of Brandon Beachy.
  5. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: I've had about enough of Budweiser and Jeff Sessions. Name that lineup, number boy.
  6. Mets up 1-0 through three, on a double by Tovar and a run-scoring GiDP. Parnell has gone three! Nothing but two hits and two strikeouts on his ledger. That's over 12 innings this spring without getting touched.
  7. metsmarathon wrote: the main scoreboard at citi is about 33% scoreboard, 67% ads. the right field scoreboard is worse, seemingly around 25% scoreboard, 75% ads. As sadly true as this is, it was true in the latter years at Shea too.
  8. Hi, I'm Frank Francisco. Ask me about my MRI!
  9. The Mets opened last year with a rotation including two vets coming in on minor league deals, and one vet (Dickey) a year away from being brought in on a minor league deal. So yeah, concern, but I'l feel good that they're going in the right direction.
  10. Home teams generally do.
  11. Three starters.
  12. For years now, i see the name Jeremy Guthrie and think, "Hey! Ex-Met made good!" Then I dimly realize that I'm not looking at Jeremy Griffiths or Mark Guthrie, but a different character altogether. And seeing as he's lost 60 games over the last four years, I'm not necessarily looking at a guy who's made good, either. Tough times it's been for the O's.
  13. Nice run, Edgy, but you're the last of our non-roster players. The others have either been farmed out or are expected to make camp. All that remains of the drama is healing. Will Byrdak make it back in time to kick Herrera to the curb? Will Torres do the same to Rottino? Also talk of a knee issue pestering Francisco. Meanwhile, the team continues to pile on infield reserves, adding their third this week to fill out minor league rosters. 14. Certainly is interesting. And it's exciting to see them banking on their opinion like this.
  15. Yaz Musial Helton
  16. Bobby Parnell has been quietly untouchable this Spring. That's one, anyhow.
  17. Documentary on the life of Kevin Clash, puppet designer and performer and the man behind the mup.
  18. Multiple sources running with it.
  19. Shouldn't he be job-hunting instead of trolling Twitter with mis-information?
  20. Shape of... a pear!
  21. Ike Davis answers with Wright on base. Two-one Mets.
  22. Prince Fielder hit one a country mile. One-zip.
  23. Ah, you so funny. Mets rallying in the third, without the benefit of a hit.
  24. Need a little Ratliff in there.
