  3. Ant'ny is an unforgiving analyst. No wonder Marcus Stroman hates the guy.
  4. Alex Carillo gets a perfect debut without retiring a batter!
  5. The Gospel of Anthony Recker forbids free passes — walks or hit batsmen — to leadoff batters in an inning. He blames this whole rally here on that hit-by-pitch.
  6. Mauricio and Baty got him on the second time.
  7. Anthony Recker is in the radio booth. WHAT A WASTE of an Anthony Recker!!
  8. Mets Homers > Orioles Immaculate Innings
  9. Is that good or bad?
  10. =Cowtipper post_id=197524 time=1751989499 user_id=166] Another genius Stearns acquisition. I look forward to his 1.654 WHIP.
  11. Sounds like overpaying from here, but we have three games to scout him.
  12. Take a long-hard look at Cedric Mullins while the Mets face Baltimore this week. He has a had a crappy year but, for whatever it is worth, he has shown signs of pulling his nose up the last week or so. He was an All-Star and Silver Slugger in 2021, and mostly has just been a guy since then, but the Mets started the season with two centerfielders, and one has been hurt most of the year and the other has been slumping just as frequently, and they're currently faking it as often as not with a super-utility guy out there that has only modest MLB speed and scant centerfielding experience. Cedric Mullins — currently in his walk year, he inspires rumors and run-on sentences. Since it is only a brief period, and their performances represent a very small sample size, they are told not to worry about it. They are just there to get their timing and mechanics down and re-acclimate themselves to the grind. But you know some of those guys do care. If you put up a .300 OPS even in a few games, that number stays with you forever. Jesse Winker, on the other hand, has played one game with Brooklyn, two with Bingo, and two more with Syracuse, and has utterly raked at every level. There is a good chance he will be activated for the start of the Baltimore series, and almost a certainty that he will be seen before the end of that series. 14. Rheal Courmier
  15. Érik Bédard.
  16. Good answer. Yeah, apart from accidents in action sequences, I would generally think a professional set is a safer place to be for a veteran actor than at home watching The Price Is Right.
  17. Apart from Redd Foxx — who made the mistake of regularly including fake fatal heart attacks as part of his act — how many actors actually drop dead on a set?
  18. Yeah, it seemed like Mauricio thought the ball would be caught on the fly, and concluded his responsibility was to get back. He was screened from seeing it bounce, but it was well-ahead of Goldschmidt, so we have a bad read combined with a communication breakdown between him and his coach.
  19. Still waiting for them to announce an interim manager. Rooting for Ricky Bones.
  20. It would be a shame if Marte is hurt there, as he has had a great game and has been a hot mofo.
  21. Look't Mister Met — sitting down, strapping in, and pumping the church fan.
  22. I thought we would be seeing Janky pinch-hitting here.

  25. Senger still looking for his first career RBI. Actually, I don't know that he is actually literally looking for it, but I am.
