  1. I hope we've scouted the Hell out of this Puig guy.
  2. Until something else works, I'm OK, with Kid Kaboom as a Flores nickname.
  3. The Phils are dunn. They don't impress me of coming back to relevance any time soon. But the last two times the Marlins cleaned house, they rebounded quicker than anyone suspected. They're who I'm fearing beyond this season.
  4. Phillies phalling phast, refusing to show any heart and help us catch Washington. There seems to be more than a small chance that they may end up behind Miami, the way things are going, and the last thing the Mets of the Future need is a 2013 confidence boost for the Marlins of the future.
  5. Murphy, by the way, did a psychout fake fist bump on Flores.
  6. Pretty cool to cap the game with Flores' first career homer. Ike hit a buncha homers in this building last year and I kinda hoped he'd have a similar powerfest, but reachng base all weekend is amazin'. He reached four times today and scored thrice. He's like... Alan Dykstra, actually. He may end up being Player of the Week.
  7. I wanna eat a Brownie.
  8. Arizona had a twitter poll about who had the best cameo on Seinfeld --- Keith Hernandez, Buck Showalter, Paul O'Niell, or Danny Tartabull. Keith won 88% of the vote, and the other guys split the remaining 12. #SorryYankeeFans
  9. How does Ike dig out of the 0-2 hole there?
  10. If that wasn't Niese's last pitch, then my name ain't Nathan Arizona. Good, tough job, Hawk, now go ice your wing.
  11. I'm glad Pennington hasn't been as effective with the bat as with the dee.
  12. I guess Baxter's shoulder is alright. Looks like he rolled his wrist, though, but he makes the third out, so I guess he's tootin'.
  13. Wilmer Flores, Mr. Bases Loaded. Ike Davis, Mr. OBP.
  14. Funny to see Laggy put the breaks on there. Looks like Terry got through.
  15. The only downside was a seriously spazzy slide sending his reconstructed shoulder into harm's way.
  16. Another Ike hit highlights a third-inning one-run rally. Inning ends with Baxter thrown out at the plate, but it was a good send, considering the pitcher was on deck with two outs.
  17. Squeaky clean rookie making his debut at first now.
  18. Hopefully to me, he's OK. But it looks like no. I wonder if hammies tend to go pop more frequently at this time of year.
  19. You know, when you hire Steve Sax to coach your infielders, don't come looking to me for sympathy.
  20. Wow! A three-run E3 is a rare site.
  21. Ike Davis, walking maniac, helps load the bases for Baxter.
  22. Also, Motley Crue interrupting Putz from four different booths.
  23. He wants to keep walking and doubling at this pace the rest of the year, I'm fine with that.
  24. Montero for Las Vegas last night as the 51s hosted Oklahoma City: IPHRERBBSOHRERA7.02112913.60 Snydergaard for Bingo last ngiht in Erie: IPHRERBBSOHRERA5.02001501.76 Seth Lugo, who I don't know a thing about but I'm sure curious about now, pitching for Savanna last night as they hosted the Hickory Crawdads: IPHRERBBSOHRERA7.040001100.69
  25. Jon Niese returns to action after a DL stint that started as cold-weather-related stiffness turned to tendonitis turned to a rotator cuff tear. Opposing him will be his mortal enemy Sprull! No defense against that pitch! Look at him bringing it from below his hip. Righthanded, too!
