    John Gant is (a) a Savannah native, ( an anagram of "Gnat," © unrelated to big league all-star Ron, I think, (d) your winning pitcher as the Gnats club the BlueClaws 10-1. Two top draft choice grace the Savannah roster this year, as Domonic Smith is a first and Gavin Cecchini at short. The former went 2-4 and scored twice, and the latter connected for a three-run homer. The real hitting star, though, was leftfielder Jared King with two two-run triples. LJ Mazzilli got a sacrifice fly, but was the only Met batter not to collect a hit and the first two games of the season have been shneidy for him thus far.
