So here's my version of a calendar year as seen by national TV/radio sports geeks: August - NFL Training Camps plus daily updates from Brett Favre's front lawn September - NFL Football and the beginning of NCAA football October - NFL Football, NCAA Football November - NFL Football, NCAA Football December - NFL Football + minor Bowl Games no matter how pathetic (because ESPN televises them all) January - NFL football playoffs + BCS Title Bowl games February - SUPER BOWL WEEK!!!!!! the biggest geekfest of all. Plus the SB itself and the aftermath. Focus then starts to shift to College hoops March - College Hoops, College Hoops, College Hoops April - FINAL FOUR!!! ... NFL DRAFT!!!! May - NBA playoffs plus (normally) reports from NFL mini-camps. "optional" work-outs, and NCAA intra-squad spring football June - NBA playoffs and draft July - VACATION TIME!!!! ... replacement hosts will of course discuss football because camps are almost ready to open and it's never too early to start making predictions
